US agriculture industry would collapse without "illegal" immigrants.
I live in an area of California that produces a huge portion of the nation’s food. The area is populated by scores of undocumented workers and immigrants. The farmers here could not survive without their hard work. We owe a debt of gratitude for the backbreaking work they do for very long hours in blazing heat. They comprise a huge proportion of lawn card workers, housekeepers and daycare workers. We need to pause our constant criticism and demeaning attitudes to express gratitude for what they do. An enormous proportion of my high school students were from immigrant families. It was a privilege to work with them.
EVERY PERSON IN THE US NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THIS!

If anyone is in earnest and would like a Bible for free as a gift, you can walk into any Christian Church. Not only that, most would offer free spiritual guidance, prayer, encouragement and even counseling services or recommendations and assistance if there are dire physical needs to be met. Why? Because that is what the Bible preaches and teaches.
America is not mentioned in the Bible. Nowhere. Neither are Democrats or Republicans. What IS mentioned MANY times and is a consistent thread throughout is how we are to treat the foreigner, the poor, the lost, the heartbroken. We are to help come alongside and make someone’s burden lighter.
Selling an American Bible ONLY is against every teaching actually IN the Bible. We are called to do two things. Of course, the one selling this Bible is playing the political nationalists like a fiddle to pay his legal debts and get votes. For himself and selfishly. He doesn’t know a word that is actually IN the Bible.
Matthew 22:36 -40 “Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: ‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second like it: love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
We make it so complicated.
Whether you celebrate Holy Week or not, please know that the person grifting a Bible and comparing his woes to Jesus Christ resembles NOTHING of the Christ I have known most of my life. He is an abomination to my faith and I believe he will receive his due.

The more I hear about "maga religion" the less I believe in their "maga religion"
Jesus literally spent most of his short time ministering to the hurting, the suffering, the downtrodden, the rejected, the despised. He saved his anger and wrath for the religious hypocrites. Let that sink in.
Look at who He chose to publicly admonish!
And who He did not!
I would hope that those who proclaim they believe in Him and are followers of Him would at least attempt to approach all of the complex issues facing our world and try to mirror His actions.
One of the most told parables in Sunday School is about the Good Samaritan. Samaritans were considered outcasts. When a man was beaten up, robbed and left for dead, both a priest and a Levite refused to help him and ignored his pain.
It was the Samaritan, a despised outcast, who helped the man.
Jesus told this story when asked “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
This is the opposite of what Christian Nationalism is selling right now. There is nothing Christ-like in it. It is a counterfeit.

There are not many things that leave me speechless.
But today was one of those moments. When a sick princess is put under such public pressure to talk about her illness for weeks, that she has no other option but to declare herself publicly, that is more than pathetic!
Don't get me wrong, I‘m not a fan of the royal family nor of monarchies, but I think everyone, whether princess or celeb, has a right to privacy and what is more private than your medical history?
Imagine you are undergoing chemotherapy, have to deal with the fear of such a diagnosis and have three small children at home, and feel the need to explain yourself to the whole world.
Anyone who has ever been confronted with cancer themselves or in their family knows what such a diagnosis means. How much strength, effort, exhaustion, fear, etc. it brings with it.
It is a shame that people who insist on maintaining their own privacy, do not apply the same standards to people in the public eye.
