My name is Adrian W. I'm a freshman at Lynchburg College and I run cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. This is my running blog. I'm going to try and have an entry everyday, that consists of my workout or meet from that day. Yesterday I ran straight my my first "real" mountain. For those familiar with VA, it was Tobacco Mountain: 4.5ish straight up. That run was definitely the most physically and mentally exhausting one I've ever had, but the reward of finally making it over the top and looking out all over Lynchburg was definitely worth the work.

I don’t think anyone understands how important it was to me that she lead the race. So many people are saying “oh she should have sat and then she could have won.” BUT THIS IS NOT THE POINT OF RACING. She did what no americans have really been doing lately! Nick Symmonds actually did it, too, for the first time I think … ever for him. He didn’t sit in the back and wait. HE WENT FOR IT. That’s HOW REAL RACING IS DONE. IT’S GOING FOR IT. IT’S GUTS. Sorry just overwhelmed by how beautiful it was.
