At what point exactly do you become an adult is it when you turn 18 or when you move out and get a job or is it when you emerge from the Temple of Time after a seven year sleep ready to defeat the King of Evil like how does this all work

He was so funny for this- he really saw his opportunity to get revenge for all the times Laios's team took his team's shit after their deaths and he TOOK IT- we love a petty king

Does tumblr have an option to save things? I don’t know how to save posts. Would be nice if that feature existed!

I may be stupid

OP I beg of you read Monster Tidbits or the Adventurer's Bible where Laios outright goes "You couldn't come from a succubus, they don't work like that, HOWEVER-" before Kabru suplexes him because he's got a whole complex about his eyes.

This is actually so interesting to read- it’s from 2012 but its full of the same anxieties, even some of the same phrasing that many of the guardian’s later pieces on transness use. really hammers home how much of the terfism that emerged in the late 10s was middle class mothers angry at a loss of control over their adult children- whether that be their bodies or their friends or their opinions- and making that everyone’s problem because they have the power to do so

I also think that all the "um okay knives out & glass onion were good. Wrap it up now" posts are so funny. You're tripping if you think there's not going to be at least five Benoit Blanc films lol

What part of "the detective franchise is back babey" did you not get. There were 14 Poirot films and that's not counting the show which was a standard season for most of its run. 69 Columbo episodes. Like it or hate it you are going to be seeing Benoit Blanc until the day he stops making money and then some.

On This Day In History

March 30th, 2023: Donald Trump is indicted by the New York grand jury, making him the first US president (current or former) to face criminal charges.

April 4th, 2023: Donald Trump has been arrested.

August 4th, 2023: Here's the update!

Former president Donald Trump has three indictments, meaning criminal prosecutions. They are as follows:

  • The People of the State of New York v. Donald J. Trump (the Stormy Daniels case). Trump faces 34 state felony charges of falsifying business records. He has pleaded not guilty. The trial is set for March 25th, 2024.
  • United States of America v. Donald J. Trump, Waltine Nauta, and Carlos De Oliveira (the classified documents case). Trump faces 40 federal felony charges regarding his handling of classified documents, largely violations of the Espionage Act, as well as making false statements and conspiracy to obstruct justice. He has pleaded not guilty. The trial is set for May 20th, 2024.
  • United States of America v. Donald J. Trump (The 2020 election/Jan 6th insurrection case). Trump faces 4 federal charges: conspiracy to defraud the United States; obstructing an official proceeding related to the election; and conspiracy against rights. He has pleaded not guilty. We expect to find out the trial date on August 28th, 2023.

A fourth investigation has not yet brought charges against Trump, though we expect it to. it refers to Donald Trump's actions in the 2020 elections in the state of Georgia, particularly concerning his phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Raffensperger. In this call, he pressures Raffensperger to adjust the collected votes, making Trump win. A grand jury is currently debating whether to bring charges against Donald Trump in this case; we expect the decision to be made sometime in August 2023.

If Donald Trump is found guilty of even a single charge, he will be a felon. From there, it will be up to the judge if he pays a fine or serves jail time. Felony status will not prevent Trump from running for President or becoming President (if he wins). Depending on his registration and the specific crimes and punishment, felony status may prevent Trump from voting in the election he is running in.

August 14th, 2023: The fourth grand jury has indicted Donald Trump.

  • State of Georgia v. Donald J. Trump (The Trump-Raffensperger phone call case). Trump faces 10 state charges including felony racketeering and multiple conspiracy charges. Trump has not yet entered a plea, and we do not yet know the trial date.

This was the final investigation we have been expecting to bring charges against Donald Trump.

August 24th, 2023: Donald Trump has been booked at Fulton County Jail on multiple felony charges. His mugshot has been released.

[An image of Donald Trump, in a suit, staring at the camera. His head and shoulders are visible. He looks decidedly unhappy.]

And here's the most recent update, as of March 30th, 2024:

  • The People of the State of New York v. Donald J. Trump (the Stormy Daniels case). The trial was originally scheduled for March 25rh, but is now scheduled to begin April 15th. Trump's attorneys have argued for a longer delay, but were denied.
  • United States of America v. Donald J. Trump, Waltine Nauta, and Carlos De Oliveira (the classified documents case). The current proposed trial date is anywhere between July and September.
  • United States of America v. Donald J. Trump (The 2020 election/Jan 6th insurrection case). Originally set for March 4th, this trial has been delayed due to Trump's claim of "presidential immunity". *The Supreme Court of the United States will discuss this claim (President Donald Trump v. United States of America) on April 25th. Any trial date for the insurrection case will-or-will-not be set after the conclusion of this.
  • State of Georgia v. Donald J. Trump (The Trump-Raffensperger phone call case). Of the original 13 counts in this charge, only 10 remain. The date of the trial has not yet been set.

Trump's other legal battles:

  • Donald J. Trump v. Norma Anderson (2024) The state of Colorado removed Trump from ballots based on Section 3 of Amendment 14 of the US Constitution (which prohibits people who engage in insurrection against the US from holding office--it was mostly made to punish Civil War Rebels). The Supreme Court of the United States reversed this in March 2024, and Trump will be on the Colorado ballots.
  • E. Jean Carroll v. Donald J. Trump is two, related civil (not criminal) lawsuits. In the second lawsuit (Carroll II, 2022) the jury decided that Trump had been continuing to defame Carroll and that he had sexually abused her. Amending the first lawsuit (Carroll I, 2023), which is going on longer than the second, this trial assessed damages for the defamatory statements that Carroll II has decided he made. *Trump tried other things to delay and disrupt this process, including attempting to dismiss the case on the grounds that he was being persecuted for being a White Christian. This motion was denied.
  • In 2023, Trump sued Orbis Business Intelligence, a PI firm, for the 'Steele Dossier', a dossier of Trump's alleged ties with Russia and numerous sexual acts. Those rumors of Trump's Golden Showers come from this dossier. The case was thrown out in February, 2024 and Trump was ordered to pay legal fees.
  • The People of the State of New York v. Donald J. Trump (2024). The civil counterpart to the Stormy Daniels case, New York Attorney General Letitia James argued that the Trump Organization committed fraud. In February 2024, the judge ruled that Trump personally owes $454 million ($463.9 million when you include the amounts owed by his sons, the Trump Organization, and interest). However, the Court of Appeals said it would accept a $175 million bond, a controversial decision. If Trump can pay this $175 million, it will give him time to appeal the $454 million. If he cannot pay, his assets will be seized.
  • Donald J. Trump and Trump Organization, LLC v. Letitia James in her official capacity as Attorney General for the State of New York (2021)

In all of this, we see a repeated pattern: someone proposes a court date, Trump tries to get it moved later, and then gets angry that it's too close to the November 2024 election and is 'election interference'. Expect him to continue this tactic throughout the felony indictments.
