Ah.. here they went again. Tattoos.... Of course, he wanted to respect and embrace the culture he's been adopted into. Sure, the knight had a few things he'd considered, but there wasn't one he could set his heart on. "I HAVE considered it, I have!" he said , crossing his arms with a pout. Graham knew it had to be.. special. Whatever it was. But the anxiety of something potentially... not being the best thing in the end scared him to death. Ohhgh....Just her touch alone made the knight melt, even while sitting criss-crossed! He knew it'd make her happy.... but the pricks and the needles! Graham was brave, but-- he was also a bit of a baby. Okay. A BIG baby. Prickly thorn bushes and the claws of purple badgers was bad enough.
"I-- I just dont think I've done anything... significant enough, okay? At least, not nearly enough as you have. "
Jess tugged at the sleeve of her sweetheart, though this time with a hint of worry. This little girl was so quickly becoming part of their odd little family. But was that what he wanted? "You'd.... tell me if ya were upset with me, right?" Brows shift, looking for a better way to phrase her fears. "..do ya think this be a good idea?"
Oh no... its time for a talk, isn't it? Graham wasn't ready for one of those! He barely survived the last one! This one was bound to happen eventually, but he didn't think it'd come so soon. Heart pounding nearly right out of his chest-- he tried to put on a brave face about it. This.... was odd. Wasn't it? Or.. maybe not nearly odd enough. Princess Avalon... now THAT was odd. This was.. otherworldly.
"Jess.. I--" an exhale. "You know I'd tell you, first sign, right away! I'm not upset, just--" Overwhelmed. Over-thinking. Over-stressing. Just to name a few. "My mother used to tell me 'If you love something, set it free- if it comes back, its yours forever. Mmm...Maybe... someone already set er' free?" Nope. That was corny. "Okay.. what I meant to say was... Yeah, I do. I don't know why I do , but.. I do. I look at her, and.. I see someone who just needs a second chance."
