This story starts off in a village in the Water Continent known as Serene Village. 5 children known as Deerling, Espurr, Goomy, Pancham and Shelmet were peacefully playing at the heart of the village, enjoying their summer vacation.

I've made my decision

On my indefinite hiatus notice, I said I was taking a break to get my motivation for this blog back, but… I don’t really have any more interest at all anymore, even for the part I really wanted to do (the sad headcanon about Shelmet). My special interest is shifting again, and the PSMD fandom is basically dead at this point (also why @panchamandshelmetaresupergay is almost completely inactive now) so I doubt anyone would care much, and I hate to say it, but I’m shutting down this blog. Even if I did want to keep this going, my plot was weak so far and would continue to be weak, and that would’ve made everyone, including me, lose interest anyway. I really don’t have a reason to drag this out. However, I will be starting an original ask blog with two of my friends a little while after we finish Sun and Moon – likely at the beginning of 2017 – that I promise will be ten billion times better than this one (the URL will be @aura-guardians, although I’m hoarding it right now)! And of course you can always find me on my main @sigilyiff. If you’re still attached to these kids, you can go follow @that-psmd-comic-thing, it’s an absolutely adorable blog! (and hey, they actually have a regular schedule!) For now, I’ll mostly just use this blog for signal boosting, but the ‘blog’ part is no more. Unfollow me if you want, there won’t be much new content. But thanks for sticking with me up to now. Mod out.

Oh yeah, one last thing -- it's taken forever, I know, but busy schedules have been part of the reason I'm shutting down in the first place. I wouldn't blame you if you doubted me, but I promise I'll get art out to people I owe it to. All characters I received in giveaways and such, as well as certain OCs for this blog that have remained untouched, will be recycled in the new ask blog and put to better use.
