“We ain’t got much a choice Drake.” And really there wasn’t much an upside to sitting and catching breath, despite how much the both of them needed it. “We can spare ourselves sometime when we’re out of a blocked in cavern, so unless you want me to carry you the whole way we’ve gotta move. We can pit stop in between but moving is our best bet. We don’t know what else is down here.”
He hated to admit it, but he was right. “ Fine, if you want to keep moving, then I’ll take your word for it. From where they were now, it would take a while for anyone pursuing them to actually catch up to them. With the cave blocked behind them and no foreseeable exit, they were trapped in indefinitely.

“… YOU’RE SERIOUS, SAM? well… do you know how to, i don’t know, build a fire without all those things? like… boy scout style? i’ve lived in a city my whole life. i can’t do any of that wilderness stuff.”
“You think it’s easy to just smack a couple rocks together to get a fire goin’?” For that, he’d need a special kind of rock and some flint that’d light the minute it sparked. “It’s not that simple.”

I'm truly not trying to start anything here, only attempting to be informative! Henry is Peruvian and Bob is Filipino, so you're roleplaying with a Latino and an Asian FC. By not racebending Sam ( or prior acknowledging they weren't even white before I mentioned it ) and writing him as Caucasian American, you're whitewashing POC actors.

Since both of your face claims are poc, are you roleplaying a racebent Sam?

❛ fighting — contracts, mostly, when they’re available. ❜ there’s a marginal pause which follows. perhaps that wasn’t the most conventional of statements, but it only came with the terrority; quistis was not always the best at casual conversation. ( let’s try this again ). ❛ — but walks along the beach are nice, too. where i live, there’s a vast stretch of ocean. i’ve traveled it quite often, but i never get tired of it. though it has been a while… ❜
“Ah so you’re a contracted what... assassin? bodyguard? back alley gambler? The list goes on and on. I’m curious-- y’know, just in case I need some help with something down the road.” The whole beach joke was fun, but now he was interested in her work. He met a few people here and there who caught his attention but this was a situation where he wouldn’t rest until he had the details.
“Well —— OKAY, that’s true. But it’s not like that anymore, it was the circumstances and – I’m sure she’d wanna get to know you better now. I could ask her. You want me to ask her?”
“NO! No... you don’t need to do that." He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t a bit embarrassed. “It’s fine, really Nathan. It’s okay. Maybe we can work something out in the future. I’d like to give her some space. Crashin’ in on her like that was unfortunate...”
