do you think the gondola ride into playcare was a deliberate bioshock reference or would they be embarrassed if i asked
This whole game is basically Bioshock 4 Babies, and I mean that as a compliment. The idea that we return to a place we clearly don't remember very well? That someone we don't know we can trust is leading us along and pitting us against a foe we have not met and cannot discern the motives of? The various hands that have different powers? The inhabitants that have gone mad due to scientific experimentation and have mutated into murderous monsters? The gondola ride was the biggest nod to the Bioshock franchise, but we cannot forget that the orphans are a huge call back to the Little Sisters too. Children that were unwanted and thus experimented with to benefit their captors.
It's pretty clever, honestly, and as a fan of Bioshock I'm pleasantly surprised. Now...bets on if the Prototype is the true villain or if it's a red herring and Poppy has been the ring leader all along.
