This may be a long shot but I was wondering if you knew any way to get in contact with a specific artist who made a song on LOFAM 1? I've always been a huge fan of Land of Wind and Shade by Kristian "Dacen" Anderson and I would love to thank them for it along with asking them how they made it! If not, I understand.

i will just go ahead and say yes i want to do this, and i don't want to be on the albums. i want to officially extend the olive branch of peace to the homestuck music team and fan musicians. i know we've had our differences but we were all sort of young and insane. well i was still pretty old and insane but you get the idea. i'm actually trying to do some outreach like.. probably today but i got some dayjob stuff to do first

Thank you all so much for what you do! That said, I was wondering if there will be a way to get it in FLAC? I see there is no download link from Bandcamp directly, and the links are MP3s. That's fine of course, I'm happy to just have the music, but since I'm a bit of a FLAC obsessive, I figured I'd ask lol

Thanks so much for checking out the album and for your thoughtful compliments -- We've been blown away by the reception to it!

There isn't a good way to offer mass free Bandcamp downloads, so we need to host it somewhere else. I think we haven't had lossless uploads lately just due to space considerations, but I'll see if we can get it done and I'll update with a post if we do!

4th track art for LOFAM 5 act 2 with all the kids! Fun fact when i picked the music to make the track art for it, it was a wip so i didn't know the song wasn't actually 3mins long but in fact 10 minutes long or even that there was going to be vocals so when i first heard the full thing during the live i went "damn the song's wip was already a banger and perfect but now it's somehow 100x more a banger and perfect"

It must have been included accidentally, I think it's just a file that gets generated if you change the order of files visually in a folder in Windows to store the layout? You can delete / ignore it.

Hello!

  1. Because of the current state of What Pumpkin and the official music team, your best bet is to see which musicians are currently responsive on social media, and choose some tracks to reach out about to them directly. Quite a few are on Twitter, including Bowman. Often, they don't really care if their music is used for non-commercial purposes, but it's nice to ask anyway.
  2. All of the LOFAM art and music is released under a Creative Commons license that allows you to use it in your project as long as it is non-commercial and you credit the musician / artist. As for recommendations, it depends what you want the music for! But in my biased opinion, part of the intro to Home would be epic! (Though maybe not as recognizably Homestuck.) You could also check out the hsmusic wiki and look at the more recognizable motifs to see what UMSPAF songs have covered them.
