HUGHES: Okay, you know what? Ask me the third question. The one that Diane wouldn't answer when we were upstairs. Okay, I'll do it for you. Do I know that you and Maya are going to make it through this and actually be better off for it? Yes, yes. Of course, yes, I do. STATION 19 || 6.11 Could I Leave You?

Tissaia and Yennefer Headcanons!

I'm so trash for them

Warnings: Mentions of self-harm, angst, and a few suggestive hcs, but other than that, I kept these very light and full of fluff.. for now. Until I write more

There's a lot to read

Enjoy!

--------

• Tissaia is the first to fall in love, way before Yennefer had even gotten the enchantment. Falling in love with her personality, the need and desire to protect her, show her love, give her the world and she made it her personal mission to do so. Especially after Sodden when she believed Yennefer to be dead and waited a month to carve her name.

• Yennefer only learned that she loved Tissaia after Sodden. When she disappeared and spent months away, that's where she truly learned of her love for Tissaia. The time apart agonizing and reuniting, she fell even harder than Tissaia did. The first person her eyes fell onto when she entered that room and an even greater smile than the one Tissaia had

• Tissaia is not one for public affection, often going for kisses on the hands or knuckles, hand holding, stealing glances from across the room, hugging, and small touches. In private she's more romantic, planning date nights, offering love letters, multitude of kisses across Yennefer’s neck and face, telling her 'I love you', compliments, praise and a make out session whether it's passionate or hungry

• Yennefer loves public affection. She loves boasting what is hers, what others can only dream of having. That being Tissaia. Arm around her waist, kissing passionately, whether on the lips, neck, or hands, she does not care. Pulling Tissaia into her lap, complimenting her, telling her 'I love you', blowing her kisses, winking at her. It's more or less the same in private but hungrier, voracious.

• Yennefer, even after the enchantment, is still self conscious. She knows she appears beautiful, so much as calling herself inhumanly beautiful, but the abuse and bullying of her past still haunts her to this day. It takes a while for her to work up the courage to face a mirror properly or not focus on any little details she may notice. Not only that but in bed as well. Her first few nights with Tissaia she had to stop halfway because she heard the niggling thoughts of being inadequate, of an imperfection still remaining. A couple of instances where she began crying from reminders or night terrors that convinced her she was still that hideous girl from before and Tissaia is always by her side, reassuring her, holding her, reminding her that she fell in love with Yennefer before the enchantment

• Due to Tissaia’s height and her older age, there is much room for Yennefer to joke with her while also being a nuisance. Yennefer always finding it amusing when she has to bend down or Tissaia on her tippy toes when they kiss or the time Yennefer easily picked her up into a hug. The move so surprising that she didn't have time to react, a blushing mess that scolded Yen for doing that around other people. Her size also had benefits when it came to cuddling, easily fitting between Yennefer's arms, and when Yen swooped her off her feet. That Tissaia didn't argue as much since no one was around. Her age a constant source of teasing from her lover. 'How was the Conjuction of Spheres?' 'Did you see first hand how monsters came about?' 'I bet you helped write the books by the elders' much to Tissaia’s dismay

• Yennefer is weak for Tissaia’s voice. Call it a voice kink but she could listen to her talk any day, all day. When she first met the rectoress, it captivated her. Such a elegant, poised, even voice. A woman who knew of her worth and every syllable proved it. Yennefer grew to love and hate it. One hand, she loved the way she commanded a room, teaching them with such an authoritative tone, the way certain words accentuated her accent. Don't even get her started on the raspiness after Tissaia would smoke. Deeper with a slight husk to her words that made her voice sound 'smoky'. The other hand, she hated how it made her weak. Easily making her listen or call her out on her mistakes. Purposely challenging her just to get Tissaia to talk more. How she envied to command a room such as she did with just her voice alone. Powerful. Nowadays, Tissaia uses it to tease her.

• Tissaia and Yennefer have a constant connection open, readily available in case of emergencies, or if needed to communicate without verbally speaking. Often or not, though, Yennefer usually uses the ability to send telepathic messages for her own amusement. Whether in a Chapter meeting and she grows bored, sending thoughts to Tissaia that range from simple questions and comments about Stregobor or Vilgefortz, earning a rouse out of the arch mistress to the lechery and voracious thoughts. Attempting to get a reaction out of Tissaia and watching how her eyes would widen, a blush climbing up her neck and dusting her cheeks, and desperately avoiding eye contact because she knew it would unravel her. Yennefer had to prevent herself from laughing at Tissaia’s composure and collected facade falling apart before her. Other times, Tissaia uses it to reprimand Yen, which happens more often than she'd like to admit.

• The month Tissaia waited for to carve Yennefer’s name she had deemed as the worst month she's lived through. Healing from the dimeritium, a rocky and painful process even with the use of aid and magic from others. Leaving her chest burning, throat, lungs raw and sore. Her own magic faltering and slowly regaining the chaos and control back. A moment of vulnerability and weakness that she hated others could witness. Once she had healed physically, the mental damaged lingered. Many a night she suffered from nightmares, cry spells when alone inside the comfort of her bed chambers, grief had struck her hard. Days blending with not a word nor sign of Yennefer. Not even her spies could find her. No chaos to track which was the last nail in the coffin. No chaos an often sign that a mage truly died. That left her feeling empty, emotional, the walls of her rectoress attitude barely held her together during the day. Those closest to her noticed this, yet she denied it adamantly. The day she carved her name into the stone, Tissaia broke more than she thought she could. Struggling to even get through the first letters. When Yennefer returned that evening, she lost her words, her breath, barely processing what was happening, thinking of it as a dream. Never before experiencing happiness and relief quite like this.

• As she asked for the scars to stay during her enchantment, Yenenfer looks at them as a reminder, but sometimes that reminder manifests itself as urges to do the same thing again. Especially during stressful times, and she's on the verge of breaking down, feeling overwhelmed. A sensation that crawls up her wrists that she has to surpress the desire to cut them again. Little motions such as shaking hands or covering her wrist with her left hand, shoving them down, is a clear sign that they have returned. Tissaia caught on quickly, and when she noticed it, she'll gently grab her hand and intertwine their fingers or bring them up to kiss. Softly rubbing a thumb over the scars as she looks into her eyes, telling her how proud she is, how strong Yennefer is to still be standing here today. No matter if she has lived three life times already, this one Tissaia is with her, by her side, to love, protect, and cherish her
