This is a sketch for an alternate path for the Black Panther film. When I made this I was thinking of the difference between plotting on a typical Marvel film and a Miyazaki movie. Miyazaki tends to have fairly clear antagonists and protagonists, but tends to treat villainy and heroism as qualities that inhere in both to varying degrees.
I was thinking, too, what it’d be like if T’Challa was, instead of the hero, a noble antagonist, and Erik something other than ressentiment on stilts.
