How to ask Wonho to be your Valentine
Step 1: Gather some courage. There’s gotta be some lying around here, maybe under your bed or between the couch cushions?
Step 2: Think about when and where to ask him. At home? Too simple. At a park? Too cold outside. At a restaurant? You’ll probably forget to ask when you’re too busy enjoying food.
Step 3: Realize that a coffee shop would be perfect! You both love those and they have great ambiance!
Step 4: Remember that you’re visiting a new one tomorrow, one that your friends recommended because they have great coffee and they’re pretty quiet.
Step 5: Panic because you have literally no other details planned out. Why are you even getting nervous?? He’s your boyfriend! Of course he’ll say yes!
Step 6: Decide to make him a card and head to the craft store to pick up supplies. Get a text from him while you’re at the craft store asking where you are and promptly flip.
Step 7: Tell him you’re out shopping and ask what he’s up to.
Step 8: He texts that he’s at your apartment because he’s bored. You fire off a quick text to his best friend begging him to distract Wonho for the rest of the day. You might owe him a lifetime’s supply of bubble tea, but it’s worth it.
Step 9: Breathe a sigh of relief and gather as many materials as possible: markers, pens, ribbon, construction paper, heart stickers, glue, a nice set of pens for him since his are running out of ink.
Step 10: Get home to a (thankfully) empty apartment and set up camp on your dining room table. Google a lot of DIY valentine’s day cards until you find the perfect one of a coffee mug that says “I love you a latte”.
Step 11: Try not to cover yourself with glue while you put together the card. Make a typo that you can’t cover up and resist the urge to cry.
Step 12: Find a suitable tote bag to heft the card in and pick out a cute outfit he could never say no to.
Step 13: Sleep like a baby despite your nerves.
Step 14: Feel your stress melt away when you see him waiting at the coffee shop, looking like he just stepped out of a manhwa, a bright smile on his face when he sees you.
Step 15: Kiss him so hard his knees go a little weak and he gets flustered. You just couldn’t help yourself.
Step 16: Pull out the card, give him a little speech about how much you love him and watch his eyes glisten, that sap.
Step 17: Finally utter the question “will you be my Valentine?”
Step 18: Find yourself with an armful of teary-eyed Wonho, crying out “yes” and successfully drawing the attention of the other two customers as well as the staff.
Step 19: Sigh. You can’t take this cutie anywhere.
Step 20: Pull him even closer. Relish in the feeling of having your one and only Valentine.
