hey it's been awhile since ive done this, i've been doing fairly good over the past two years but life has thrown another curve ball at me 😀. my partner and i have both been struggling to save money in our current situation. we both live with a roommate who basically makes us pay for everything (bills, food, house supplies, etc) and expects us to do everything for him while we both work full time and he does not work at all. its extremely hard to save money when he asks for rent at random times throughout the month, but at any time, he could kick us out since its his lease, so we do everything we can to appease him. he is also about ten years older than both of us and its just a bad power dynamic. we had a good amount saved and then our car completely broke down right before we were to renew our inspection. so now we are struggling to fix our car, get a new sticker, save to move, and just eat every day. it's also weighing heavily on our mental health.

Literally if I had just like $200-250 more rn I'd be in the clear for a good long while.

I owe my college for this month’s insurance cost ($234); I also need to get my blood tests done ($90) because I am on a vital psychotropic medication that can cause a lot of adverse effects such as diabetes if not closely monitored. I need to pick up my refill for that same medication ($15), and I have a specialist appointment on 09/16 for my chronic pain ($30) that will probably include additional tests and medications at an unknown cost ( = $369+)

I have a job, but I don’t work many hours. I am currently looking for a second job, but I have multiple illnesses that prevent me from working as much as I’d need; additionally, I am a full-time student and one of my majors is music while the other includes an unpaid internship. I was financially cut off by my abusive parents a while ago for medically transitioning, so going to them is not an option. I have about $130 of what I need right now, out of the approx. $370.

Hi, my name is Mady and I’m usually not one to ask for help, I’m normally the one that gives when they can. However, I REALLY need help escaping my abusive ex. We live together and share a vehicle, due to rent, bills, and the fact that he never works, I never have any money to hide to be able to leave. Going home isn’t an option as a.) I would be leaving one abusive household for another and b.) there’s no room for me. I have reached out to the domestic abuse resources in my area, however, they can’t place me in a safe house due to the fact that I have cats, even though they are my therapist appointed ESAs and genuinely cannot live without them, as I am a severely depressed suicide risk.

In order to leave, I need around $4,000. I know it’s a lot, but I need a cheap car that will get me to and from work and enough money for the deposit on an apartment as well as first months rent and utilities. I am living in survival mode and I don’t know how long I can keep this up before I end up dead or he does.

I moved to the United States 4 years ago alone and without any support, as my parents died in my home country when I was 18. Being a transgender black female immigrant places three discrimination barriers and makes it extremely hard to socialize and find a job to live properly. Nevertheless, I tried my best. I had been working at 7 different companies as a receptionist/host/waitress for these four years, but 2 months ago I lost my job. The reasoning I was given - ‘staff reduction due to COVID-19 complications’. I have been unemployed for these 2 months, but the reason I can’t start a new job is not COVID-19. In February, I was diagnosed with stage-3 esophageal cancer. I had no prior knowledge of my diagnosis as this type of cancer can be quite concealed, and I had only two or three weeks of eating discomfort before I had a medical consultation. The company I was working at had a special program to support staff members who need expensive surgeries or therapies, and I believe my diagnosis was the true reason I was reduced, since it happened just after I told my office I might need an extended medical leave. The sum I have spent on the medical procedures only to clarify the future treatment equals my 3 salaries. The sum I’m asking for is actually covering first 6 months of treatment and the cheapest drug - basically simply to have a chance to survive. I have no health insurance and I can’t take a new job because my health condition significantly deteriorated. The thing that I have learnt throughout these months is that it is very hard to get any, even basic medical help if you are transgender. The death rate of the esophageal cancer is about 30%, which is very high, and I ask you to help me to have a chance to survive. I tried to deal with everything without anyone by my side, but current circumstances left me with no choice but to ask you to donate and share my story. Thank you very much.”
