The alleyway between Wisteria and Magnolia was usually the way to go if you wanted to avoid people. Harry made the turn without thought, his feet following the path he had trodden hundreds of times.

His shirt stuck to him in the morning heat. He kicked a rock absent-mindedly into a dustbin and blinked up at the sun shining at the mouth of the alley, still on its rise toward the center of the sky. Its warmth felt both brilliant and slightly irritating after a solid fortnight spent shut up in his bedroom.

Harry’s eyes adjusted and he lurched to a stop, hands coming out of his pockets.

Several paces away, Malcolm stopped, too. His shaggy brown hair was longer than Harry remembered, but all in all he had not changed much from the boy who had most often been the one to hold Harry’s arms behind his back as the rest of Dudley’s gang had their fun.

Harry almost turned on his heel out of habit to go back the way he had come, but a detached sort of recklessness made the bottom of his stomach twist up and he stood his ground.

Ooooops, we did it again!! 

Any other final we have to play against the home team and a stadium packed with people? ;)

I don't really know how high jump works, but I just saw two athletes who were in a dead-heat after many, many jumps decide to share the gold medal instead of continuing to compete for a tie-breaker, and their shared joy absolutely stole my heart:

Both athletes almost had career-ending injuries, Tamberi (ITA) brought his cast as a reminder. When the judge came over to try and explain how to break the tie, Barshim (QAT) goes, "can we have two golds?"

Also, not to sound too much like a capitalist, but if these guys aren't immediately given endorsement deals to do a series of commercials in which they're adorably sharing absolutely everything, even [throws dart at list of corporations] the last McNugget, then I will personally flip over a table in the middle of Madison Avenue.

They actually have known each other for 11 years! They're very good friends. I love them.

Ohh I loved this, what a treat! It says a lot about their relationship that this two quite private and reserved characters are willing to share their difficulties with each other! And that Harry is “sponsoring” going to a mind healer, I mean I know he’s practically ancient now, but still, what a growth <3

And then there’s Ginny and her hand caressing Harry under the table and flirting with him under the sheets as if they were still in those fresh, sunlit days <3 

And speaking of sunlit days, I always love those little nod to canon like “greatest source of comfort” and “silver lining” ;)

And it was lovely to read more about James’s “memory” journey, about the hard work he’s putting into recovery – I never felt like there was the need to fill the gap between the last two chapter of WFTT, and I stand by it, but it was still wonderful to see how well he’s doing, while not being at his best yet (and to see how much his family loves him!)

And of course, we all very much needed to read the time(s) Al tried to convince James he had promised him a car ;)

And on top of that, they’re a big happy family in vacation in Italy! What can we possible want more? ^^
