The Creepy Real-Life “Men in Black”
Marinette “I’m Marinette, to my right is Alya, and to my left is Adrien."
(Alya smiles and waves to the camera, flashing a wise smirk while Adrien gives a small smile and waves.)
Marinette “This week on Unsolved Mysteries we’re covering the real-life Men in Black, are they real? Are they as charming as their Hollywood counterparts”?
Alya “You know, watching Men in Black, I never knew it was based on a true story.”
(Marinette and Alya let out a chuckle.)
Marinette “I’ve never seen the Men in Black movies.”
Alya “Girl what?”
Adrien (quietly) “I’ve seen it”
(Alya looks at Adrien and then back to Marinette)
Marinette “Yeah, I mean I saw the first one for the video, but I didn’t know there was much else to it.”
Alya “Mari, I get you not seeing Men in Black but Golden Boy?”
Adrien “Nino and I watched it.”
(Alya and Marinette look at each other and giggle)
Marinette “That makes sense.”
Marinette [Voice Over] “The Men in Black are typically described as wearing black suits, being expressionless, cold, sinister, and in some cases, inhuman. The Men in Black seem to only talk to two kinds of people, those who have seen a UFO and those who research UFO’s. They present themselves as part of a secret organization, sometimes even presenting a white card with the word ‘security’ on it. And in some cases, they refer to each other by number rather than name. They threaten and scare people into remaining silent about their UFO encounters and/or research. Think of them as the cleaners of the extra-terrestrial universe.”
Alya “Okay, but Aliens are confirmed.”
Marinette “Well yeah but-”
Alya “Superman literally exists.”
(Marinette looks over at Alya, dubiously and pauses to find the words)
Marinette “This theory is like two decades old.”
Alya “Why are we talking about it then?”
Marinette: …
Adrien “How much black do they wear? Do they look like the Men in Black that we see in the movies?”
Marinette “We’ll get into what they really look like later.”
Alya “Once they pull apart their skin.”
Marinette (laughing) “Okay”
Alya “And aliens come out.”
Marinette “A bunch of mini supermen come crawling out of their eyes and-“
Adrien “Stop, I can see it.”
