Oh GOD can’t they let Downton die now PLEASE?
WTF? Really?! Good grief. Looks like Fellowes needs some money.

James Dean disproving the old adage “Never turn your back towards the camera” in various photos taken during 1954 and 1955.
Oh my god there’s a lot to unpack in this deleted scene from The Great Game.
I mean, there’s Sherlock’s father - you know, the man who convenietly dresses just like John - cheating on his mother, and Sherlock being blamed for the loss of their “happy home”, possibly also feeling guilty for that loss when he was still a child … oof.
Thank you for the tag, @kettykika78!
So, I’m guessing new scripts were released (leaked?) during my tumblr hiatus?
Anyway, you know what I think.:) I think the so-called, ahem, ‘au pair’ wasn’t some hapless girl, but actually Uncle Rudy (potentially in drag, hence the lipstick:P).
Because I’m committed to my ‘Follow the dog’ theory, according to which Daddy Holmes had a gay affair with Uncle Rudy, as per my ‘Follow the dog’ meta: HERE.
BTW, I have finally managed to finish a new (longish) ‘Sherlock’ meta. If anyone’s interested in reading it, please drop me a line and I’ll tag you guys.:)
@sagestreet i’m interested! :)
Yes, they gave us all the #sherlockscript , including season 4. We can read a lot, really a lot, of deleted scenes. And the script is really incredibly Johnlock in nature.
Reblogging for future reference. Thanks again, @kettykika78!
I promise I’ll get to the other reblogs, too. And to the asks in my inbox. Give me a few days, guys.:)
I’m on it.

Reblogging this for science. Obviously.

wow, i hadn’t seen that snippet yet.
of cokrse, as a john mirror, daddy holmes is presumed bi, so there’s nothing to stop him from carrying on vith both the au pair and uncle rudy.
always interested in new meta!
Absolutely possible, @sarahthecoat.
Although personally I tend to think Sherlock’s mother went:
“Au pair? Au contraire! Mon frère!” :D
(Uncle Rudy being her brother, of course.)
I’ve found shit tons of pictures of Lord Alfred, in all poses and all kinds of attire, in one of them he’s surrounded by a bunch of his kids, I even found one of his grandson. I have not, however, been so lucky with Edward Drummond, and so I’m reminding everyone how gorgeous Leo looks as Drummond. because reasons.

My favourite christmas carols: Maria durch ein Dornwald ging
Originally, this was not a song for the Christmas (advent) time but for pilgrimage. Its origins can be tracked to a catholic province in the middle of Germany in the 19th century. However, it is thought to be much older. In the early 20th century, the song gained popularity and transformed it to an advent carol.
The song tells the story of pregnant Mary, walking through a dead thornwood which begins to bloom upon Mary passing it.
What are your favourite christmas carols?
This Christmas carol is such a delight.
Merry Christmas to all my followers. May your days be full of light and song.
Poulenc : Nocturne No 1 in C Major / Alexandre Tharaud
One of my favourites. Poulenc is so great.
