F*ck My Life Sideways

The good news is that I finally got all the parts to fix my Acer Nitro 5. The bad part is that the charging port needs to be soldered in.

So, I used a tiny bit of electrical tape to anchor it, but that is not a permanent fix. I need to take it to a computer repair shop. I just can't afford it right now.

My laptop is my gateway to life. I am disabled and homebound and don't go anywhere. So now I am grounded for the unforeseeable future.

Every time I try to save money, it blows up in my face.

Let me first state that I have horrendous luck. Murphy's Law rules my life. Which is why I am shocked and happy right now.

I am a chocoholic with no shame. I can eat chocolate ever day and still want more.

I have been trying to limit my sugar intake but sugar free chocolate is not something I was able to have. I am severely allergic to all sugar alcohols which is what sweetens the majority of sugar free chocolate.

Then one day I discovered ChocZero on Tik Tok. They don't use sugar alcohol in any thing, and their chocolate is divine.

To make a long story short, I won a $50 gift card. I am so pumped. I already put my order in.

Not only is my sciatica rearing it's hideous head again, but my RLS is acting up on my left leg. This means both of my legs are killing me. FML

F'ing Heat

I just saw the forecast for today. It's going to be in the 80s. I don't handle the heat well. In fact, it makes me very sick and my body shuts down.

Unfortunately, we do have air conditioners but we can't use them . This house is 100+ years old with only 1 outlet in each room. You can't plug an AC unit in an extension cord but the old wiring just can't take it as well.

It gets so friggin' hot in the house, and @helly-watermelonsmellinfellon tells me that the upstairs is a sauna.

The bottom line is that we need fans but we just don't have the funds right now to do it. We need food. Even if I had the money, I would have to spend it on food.

I'm sick of needing help. Just for once, I'd like to get through a month with no issues.

The yearbooks at my youngest's school are $75. WTF!?!?!?! It's not even big.

Unfortunately, I had to tell my youngest offspring that there's no way I can afford to purchase this year's yearbook. She's really bummed cus she's in it a lot between marching band, concert band, and clubs.

I hate being as broke as a joke with no hope.

Lousy Vehicle Inspection

We took the van back to be inspected again after fixing the problem that failed it. Good news is that it passed. The bad news is that it took my last $100.

I am now as broke as a joke with no hope. I had to take my food money and money for my Internet bill to get that lousy van up to par to pass inspection. It was an act of God that had it pass, just saying.

We took the van to get inspected. I was adamant that it would not pass. Dave was so sure. Guess who was right.

Keep in mind that I am paying for it again. This was an added expense which cut out my food money.

On the other issue: I am currently working without my laptop. The charging port came lose, and I can't charge it. I bought the part and am going to try to replace it myself. I can't afford to take it somewhere.

Unreal! But Not Unexpected!

The van is in my name. I pay the insurance. I pay for the registration/inspection. Dave has never helped with either. Yet again, I have to pay for the registration which is due right now.

I am fed up with paying for everything with regards to the van when I NEVER drive it. I can't without power steering. I also can't let any thing lapse because my youngest drives it.

I think @helly-watermelonsmellinfellon and I need to really start looking for another place to live. It's getting really bad here. even my youngest wants nothing to do with Dave and told me to my face today that I was her only parent. The three of us would have a lot less stress if we could distance ourselves from Dave's mess.

Cooking In My Own Juices

I STG that Dave and his friend are trying to see how long it takes to roast me to death. I cannot handle the heat at all. It makes me really sick and the migraines the heat induces are not fun.

I need to find a way to block the heater vent in front room where I am sleeping. This house is older than Jesus, so finding anything to fit will be difficult.

Dave lost my fan, so I can't even try too cool off with it. That's another item I have to replace. Pedestal fans are expensive these day.

With only 1 plug in the room, I will have to find a way to finagle things when I do replace my fan. UGH!

I'm also considering getting a Shoji screen for some semblance of privacy. The only people that come through the front room often are my girls, but I still want some privacy. The door leading to the dining room which is Dave's room doesn't have a doorknob, so I can't even close it.

I want my PRIVACY!!!

@helly-watermelonsmellinfellon tells me that he ceiling is in bad shape. This place better hold together long enough for us to find a safer place to live. JS.

This Irish redhead is friggin bummed. This year, I will not be able to make my customary corned beef and cabbage as is my legacy. This is really cheesing me off.

I just do not have the money this year. Besides, the price of brisket is crazy.
