Two weeks.
It’s been two weeks since you last saw your beloved angel. Every passing second of your life since a couple months ago had always been Yeonjun. It was always the way he grinned whenever he saw you, how he lit up whenever you mentioned going on a mint ice cream date, or his soft snowy feathers you cuddled up with in bed (besides him of course). It was always the way he pulled you outside to dance in the rain when you were feeling down and then after, worrying that you were going to be sick and taking extra care of you just in case. You’ve always loved those parts of him. But the thing you were most grateful for was just having him near your side. Even though the last weeks (or month you should say) was excruciating, you were grateful for his presence that never seemed to have left you.
And now, where has he gone? Where has the angel you’ve grown to, gone?
Having him near you was a necessity, such as for example, air. He was in your life as you took a breath, and left painfully like the looseness of a sigh. His presence in your life was fresh, something exciting that left you crisp and satisfied. He quenched your desire to live and made it far greater. But in this present, the one before him- and now after him, you were left gasping for air, wanting a full breath of peace that was with him.
How funny was it, that a guardian angel could impact your life this much? Similar to how he suddenly appeared in your life, he vanished without a trace. And now you were an empty husk, holding onto the foolish and mere hope that he would come back. It was a wish so simple to anyone else, but in your case, the wish was clearly impossible.
