It tickles me that Elias seems infinitely more approachable than Lena, like if I needed the afternoon off for a doctor's appointment I know who I'd rather be asking even if he is a eldritch all-seeing murder manager who says terrifying things like "my door is always open".

i feel like i've seen too few people commenting on the fact that Celia Ripley has a whole ass child and they just dropped that on us and moved on like it wasn't important

i've seen a lot of people talk about the whole "glitches in the audio means someone's lying" theory, and one thing i find really interesting about that is that apparently there's been only one glitch when lena's talking? which means that there's only one thing she's been lying about, and that's about colin being able to resign.

now, to me, this makes sense. it seems like someone other than lena is in charge of colin's employment, or at least making sure he can't leave. we had both of these lines way back in episode 1:

so, if the glitch theory is true, the only intentional lie lena has told thus far is that colin can leave. which means

things lena kelley has NOT been lying about:

  • people (other than colin) are able to quit
  • she wasn't able to join the others at the bar
  • she's not particularly wealthy
  • she's been needing someone to step up to "the real job" for a while now
  • she does not watch television
  • the theatricality IS necessary
  • mr. bonzo is a valued asset
  • screaming helps (they usually like it)
  • basically everything she said about the oiar and its purpose in tmagp 13

So Mr. Bonzo definitely got a ride with nigel to the strip club, right? like there is no way he walked over there or got public transport to get to the job.

Nigel would have been able to drive over there with like an inconspicuous van and plant the present inside the club/with the other presents. He probably headed over to a nearby cafe and got himself a black coffee while waiting for the job to be over.

It’s funny to me that Magnus Archives started out with mostly “normal” ghost stories & held back on the really weird stuff until later seasons, whereas with Protocol we’ve gotten the following in the first twelve episodes:

- Guy Who Murdered His Wife Gets Turned Into a Tree While Running From the Cops

- Man Made of Needles

- Demon Antique Enthusiasts Who Crowd Crush People

- Janitor Runs Away From IRL Timelapse Only to End Up in a Cannibal Restaurant in the Void

- A Guy Just Straight Up Gets Run Over by a Semi Truck

- Knockoff Barney the Dinosaur Shows Up to a Strip Club and Starts Smashing Skulls

Here's the thing about Sam and Alice. I don't necessarily want them to get back together or anything, I just find their relationship the most compelling so far. They have such a strong dynamic of pain layered with trust layered with history layered with deception layered underneath a strong friendship. They are going to drive me insane.

i like how the horror of trying to hornify mr. bonzo in tmagp fandom is only compounded by the fact that this character has explicitly been shaped by the public's perception of him. like. imagine if this was happening in-universe. imagine. imagine.
