Just learned that there is going to be a live action Barbie movie and I expect two things from it:

1.) For it to be as good as Legally Blonde AT MINIMUM

2.) A scene where Barbie hands in a resume and it’s as thick as a novel

3.) Barbie saying, “Don’t worry, I’m a professional!” for literally anything

i love when people ask me “what are you anxious about” like…….about??? you think this is based on reason? rationality? never heard of that

friendly reminder that…

when the only poc in a character lineup is an antagonist, that has very racist implications whether they’re intentional or not. while representation matters and is important, it only counts when it’s positive representation. representing a marginalized group of people only through an antagonist, villain, or otherwise unlikeable character is negative representation, and might be harmful to the community you’re representing.

my physics and english teacher hated each other and the physics teacher made a habit of getting grades back to students as quickly as possible and one day he just walked into her classroom and started handing back tests while she was trying to lecture

this isn’t a particularly hot new take, but it’s pretty fucked up how women are supposed to “just give him a chance” when a guy she isn’t sexually attracted to is interested in her, meanwhile men will treat women that they find unattractive as essentially worthless!
