Jim Kirk probably introduces Bones as My Bitter Half

   Shaking his head lightly he thinned his lips. “My fault, should’a given a little more warnin’ than that – sorry…” he sighed, putting away his hypo and then glancing back at the scanner, nothing else to sort out - just take her heart rate and that was that.     He chuckled. “Not me -- jus’ a simple country doctor.”

“Bones…” Jim gave his best friend a warm smile. Even now the damn idiot still wanted to be by his side…even if death was right around the corner all Bones wanted was to be there for him. There was nobody else like him in the universe. That much was certain right now. Sighting and steadying himself he raised his phaser at the boulders blocking them in, ready for anything that might come this way. 

 “If…If we die here or something. I-I just want you to know that I-I….I well…y’know.” Jim blushed and looked away timidly. 

   Leonard couldn’t imagine a world without Jim Kirk - and if there was one, there better not be a damn Leonard McCoy there – they were best friends for a reason, because they stood together, through everything… even if it was a deadly situation with a slim chance of surviving. Damn it they would fight till the very end… and Leonard knew there was no one like Jim – no one who could ever even remotely be like Jim – and that’s why he needed to be here…     “Don’t say it Jim – y’don’t haveta… I know – an’ errm – I do -  too..” he gave Jim a warm smile, his eyes trying to meet the others. “its been a pleasure knowing ya James Tiberius Kirk.” 

 “We’re about to die and we both can’t just say the damn word…figured.” Jim snickered lightly but he knew already. Damn this world and whatever fate was coming for them…he had just gotten confirmation that Bones loved him and he could die a happy man right now knowing that at least. 

“And just because we’re about to die doesn’t give you permission to use my who goddamn name Leonard.” Jim grumbled.

   Leonard glanced over to Jim, a laugh bubbling from his lips, a broad smile staying on them as his eyes lingered for a moment. “Horatio.” he said, another laugh coming from him. “That’s my middle name, Horatio.” His finger was poised on his phaser, anticipating the noises, the pain that would soon come upon them. “Leonard Horatio McCoy... y’can thank m’dad for that one.” he added. His eyes fell to the floor. “For what its worth... I like Bones better...” his eyes went back to Jim for a moment, before the banging started at the small entrance that concealed them. It drew his attention. He was ready for this - to die at Jim’s side, the man he loved... 

Jim had come hard soon after, breathing heavily and gasping softly at the bliss that ran down his spine. He groaned weakly, his sweat dappled body pressed against Bones own, too tired to move and too lost in the clouds from his afterglow to think clearly still. 

 “M’fu-fuck…Leo~”

   Swallowing hard, Leonard started to chuckle. His lips finding Jim’s and firmly planting a kiss there. “Next time. Y’fuck me – “ he said gruffly… he growled a little at the thought, smirking as he exhaled deeply.  

 “Me ride the cowboy? S-Sounds fun~” The blond teased, nuzzling against the brunette with a low hum of satisfaction, his sweat dappled body entangling itself with Bones own happily.

   Leonard chuckled at Jim’s words, he sort of hated that Jim called him cowboy -- but he would never say anything -- it was Jim -- and well, it was another damn nickname that made Bones feel like he was special to Jim --     He rolled off of Jim with a heavy sigh, smiling at the other man, “Wanna drink?” he asked, not caring he was completely nude.  

“Well…that wasn’t what I was expecting to hear. That’s…quite a surprise…” Mika looked at him in surprise. She knew they were friends but he was so guarded with his feelings that she never really knew what he was thinking. She smiled, not wanting him to feel any more awkward than he obviously was, “It’s a good surprise, though.” She blushed and looked down at her feet. “Maybe I should let you know that I reciprocate your feelings, Doc.”   

   Leonard took a breath, shoving his hands into his pockets and shuffling his feet. He wasn’t the kind to get nervous about something so daft. Of course, it would sting if she didn’t want anything, but he would get over it. He was used to taking knock backs... He was ready to be nicely thrown away -- her words made his eyes move up to her quickly, a frown on his brow. “R-really?”
