The Weight of Gravity (DB Next Gen Week Fic)
BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP!
10 times the Earth's gravity. That is how much pressure Bra's body is currently under. It was the first time she used the Gravity Chamber. Her mother was watching her closely, monitoring her vitals and heart rate. She figured training in the Chamber would be smooth sailing, given her Saiyan blood. This was obviously not the case.
Sweat dropped from every part of her body. She breathed faster, trying to take in as much air as she could. She honestly felt like she was starting to suffocate.
BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP!
The slamming, erratic pounding of Bra's heart is the only sound she could hear. She could feel the organ struggling to not rupture in her chest.
The most Bra could do under this much pressure was a few punches and kicks and a small jog, but that was about it. She felt like she couldn't breathe.
Can't breathe. Can't breathe! CAN'T BREATHE!
The Saiyan Princess dropped to the ground like a stone, clutching her chest in agony. She was hyperventilating, her lungs feeling like they're about to burst. She was gasping for air. Her vision was becoming blurrier.
Her chest hurt. Her body hurt. Everything hurt.
Then suddenly, the Chamber's power had turned off. Relief enter Bra's muscles as the pressure suddenly subsided. She was breathing heavily, a signal of the pain she had just endured.
Clearly, Bra's mother was very concerned for her, given that her heart rate was dangerously close to reaching critical. No doubt she'll probably scold her for pushing herself too fast, too hard.
BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP! BA-BUMP!
Bra's body was clearly not yet ready for the Gravity Chamber. Perhaps after she calms herself and rest a little, she could train her body to better prepare for the Chamber next time.
