“Believe me… I wouldn’t normally willingly launch myself into these situations…” A grimace was supplied at the soldier, the android’s ears folding back as he held the large metal piece up against cover fire (he’d no idea where it came from, but the flat object had been lying there when he’d been dumped into what he could assume was a battlefield.
What a way to go.
Ziel hadn’t the time to pick sides, with a rainbow-colored set of troops to one side, and men with same-outfit-syndrome on the other. The latter had been the ones to fire at him first, and despite the other not seeming friendly either, he’d chosen to duck behind the rubble they’d created as a shield. He ducked under the plasma overhead, eyeing the guns the men beside him carried.
“…A-And I’d like to ask you to um… wait before shooting me? Please? I have no idea what’s going on here.” How would they trust him? He’d just fallen through a portal to here. That seemed to be happening a lot lately. “Maybe… I can help as a truce? At least until those guys stop?”
BEING TRAPPED ON THE WAR-TORN planet of Chorus meant that a lot of strange scenarios were tossed in Wash’s direction. Each time they did, he didn’t suspect anything could top the last one -- to which he was typically greatly mistaken. This situation was no different really.
There wasn’t a lot of time they were given under these circumstances to really examine the -- stranger that had seemingly just fallen from the sky. A lot all happened at once -- a sudden skirmish with the Space Pirates, something they hadn’t anticipated, && a stranger dropping into the midst of the crossfire. Thankfully ( or, unfortunately ? Wash had yet to form an opinion on if this newcomer was going to be helpful to them, or a danger. ) they managed to take cover with a piece of debris. Even so, as they made their way to where Wash and his men were, the former freelancer didn’t hesitate to aim his weapon at them.
They didn’t look like their typical enemies, but it didn’t mean they could afford to be so complacent as someone of unknown origins made their way behind their only secure area for the moment.
Still, he wasn’t so heartless as to simply shoot them without giving them any sort of chance. That person wasn’t who he was anymore, after all. And they seemed so confused && disoriented as he would expect someone that had just fallen into the midst of a battle to feel. Wash narrowed his eyes a little under his visor, && though he didn’t lower his weapon, his posture went a bit lax. As lax as it could during a fight.
❝ I’m not going to shoot you. Just don’t give me a reason to have to. ❞ Wash replied, the tone of his voice obvious in the fact that he still didn’t trust him for the time being. ❝ Do -- You even have a weapon ? If so, start shooting. We’re sitting ducks out here. ❞
