Gundam DX [Aurum]

So this is my first attempt at a full recolor of a Gundam type mobile suit. It was… a learning experience to say the least. How much paint it took, how color affects the way your eye follows lines. It was hard sometimes by I like the way it came out in the end.

Although judging from a straight model standpoint the MG DX Gundam waist section is not anywhere near strong enough to hold the weight of those cannons.

[Btw, if its not obvious I like me some golden mobile suits and this was me trying it out on a suit I liked to see how it would turn out.]

So by all means I tried to take some ok pictures so community please I would love to hear some feedback on this, some thoughts, suggestions etc?…

[Before I forget, this was done with an air compressor for the base coat and the Gold was 3 types of spray can paint.

The weapons came out pretty bad, but mostly because i realized that 2 coats was not enough to cover those deeper colors after I ran out of primer and got impatient.]
