Moving back to Wisconsin a year and a half ago showed me many things, but mainly that it doesn't matter if I'm here or not. saying white people are just colonizers by nature, cruel by nature, and racist by nature is not only very uh sketchy in the whole ~biology~ department but also absolves all white people of their racism. “oh they cant help it” is not only not true its counterproductive to ending racism as a whole! plus when we say something like “white people are biologically programmed to be colonizers” we’re also moving into a dangerous territory of “people of color are biologically programmed to be colonized”
