there would be a point where harry wouldn’t be downright sassy to draco but respond to his sarcastic remarks in an endearingly innocent way because that annoys draco even more
draco: nice face, potter
harry: oh, thank you
draco: that isn’t what i-
OR
draco: you won’t win this match, loser
harry: that means you will, i’m so happy for you
OR
draco: you’re so dimwitted
harry: and you’re so intelligent, i’m in awe of you
after that, draco just begs him to throw one sassy remark at him because he cannot handle it anymore
draco: i think we should get married
harry:
harry: malfoy, this is our first date what the fuck
you know what. no. harry is not easy to love. he is an inherently good person. he is easy to like. charming in a way that no one quite understands but adores. but on most days, he is not easy to love. neither is draco. neither of them are easy to love but with each other, it seems effortless because they CHOOSE to love each other no matter how difficult it is. because people are fucked up and so are they. it’s okay because they are fucked up together and they learn to love that too.
draco and harry as aurors is like arguing over the latest case and about what to do till one of them is injured by protecting the other and all hell breaks lose and then arguing about “you didn’t have to protect me” and the softly whispered confession of “of course i had to, what would i have done without you?” and this happens everytime
draco: you didn't have to protect me
ron: of course he had to, what would he have done without you?
harry:
ron: what? this happens to lot we've all rehearsed it. please stop dying for each other.
screw “what’s your favourite colour” and ask “would you rather be the owner of a dark, foreboding castle or a fairytale castle” it’s a better question
i see someone hating on harry james potter again, i will cry he is so humble and kind and inherently good what do you want😭
