             ❝ don’t even THINK about touching my BOOKS. ❞ there was no chance she could trust either one of the weasley twins. growing up along side the boys, she was able to witness how sneaky & what pranksters the boys could be. though she had never told either fred or george how funny they pranks usually were, she had to admit they were doing quiet well for themselves. hermione never doubted what the boys would accomplish after they were expelled, knowing they would find their true calling out in the real world no matter what. it was the week before the trio would return to hogwarts to begin their 6th year, her parents had allowed her to spend her final week of her holiday with the weasley’s, which always helped her end her summer on a high note. she snatched her ancient runes book from the end table, flashing a grin in fred’s direction, placing the book against her chest, protecting it from his reach.  ❝  shouldn’t you be at the shop ? ❞

                  ❝ are there any pumpkin pasties left? ❞ brow raised, she in was in desperate need for the sweet treat. there had been an incident with crookshanks & ron earlier today, she needed to find something the boy liked to brighten up his mood. hermione had even reprimanded the ginger cat for attacking her friend, but it didn’t seem to do much to lighten her best friend’s mood, then again her cat had taken a liking to driving ronald insane. her eyes were glowing, hoping she could get her hands on a few treats for the evening, when she looked at the empty dish her good mood suddenly vanished. the familiar ravenclaw had caught her attention, she glanced over at his hand trying to confirm if he had a few pasties packed away.  ❝ do you know ANYONE who might be willing to share ?  ❞

             RELAXATION wasn’t a word the girl was familiar with ; unable to recall the last time she had taken a day for herself. then again hermione had a different definition for the word, while others would rest & make most of their day with the company of a friend or family, she would curl up with a book or work on her classwork. it had taken some convincing from a few friends to get the witch to get out of the library & out into the real world. after the war the trio had taken the time to process & support one another in attempts to cope with everything they had managed to lose, but also the new freedom they had fought for. after a couple of months the boys had decided to become aurors, but hermione knew she had unfinished left at hogwarts, she had to finish her education. 

          hogwarts didn’t feel the same without her best friends, but every time she walked through the class she always thought about the events that happened that night. hermione hadn’t fully coped with everything that had happened, usually concerned with those around her & making sure they were okay, that she would be left all alone with her thoughts whenever she was left on her own.  ❝ no, please — not now. ❞ she shut her eyes, placing her hand against the wall for support, the flash backs of the war & her emotions hitting her all at once. breathe  — knowing that it would pass after a few moments, she just needed to fight, push everything deep down & continue on with her day. after a few minutes she opened her eyes, her brown hues catching a glimpse of an unfamiliar ghost, it couldn’t be  — her eyes were glued to the male, from what she could see it seemed like the ghost was lost. her feet were now moving in the ghost’s direction, she felt the overwhelming feeling to help him.   ❝ are you ALRIGHT ? ❞

        the horrid scent coming from the garlic necklace was driving the brunette mad, it felt like all sense of time had stop while she searched the dark cave. with every step she took deeper into the cave she cursed herself, missing the warmth from the sun, the brightness of the rays & how wonderful they felt against her skin. the bright witch had taken weeks to make the choice to come to albania, her curiosity finally pushing her to make the decision to go, knowing that if she missed the opportunity to search for vampires she would always wonder what if. no one had been able to convince the girl to stay behind, their words were just whispers, like the sound of the wind brushing against her ears. 

     as she track through the never ending cave something grabbed her attention, quickly reaching for wand, she began to listen closely. then she heard the sound once more, a grunt coming from her left, as if the person was calling out for help. without giving herself a moment to process her decision she began to make her way towards the unknown grunting, using the sound as a compass, trying her best to head in the proper direction.  ❝ LUMOS ! ❞ she mumbled, not wanting to frighten off the possible creature, she pointed her wand towards the ground & her brown eyes caught sight of a male laying on the ground. within seconds she broke out in a run, trying to get to the figure as quickly as possible.  ❝ what happened? don’t worry, i’ll get you patched up in no time. ❞ the tone of her voice was gentle, trying to comfort him, kneeling down besides the stranger, flashing him a smile.  ❝ how LONG have you been here? ❞
