No one sasses better than the Daleks and Cybermen. No one.

I loved this ridiculous moment so much okay

ANGRY CYBORG SASS OFF

This was my favourite bit

It’s even better because they’re both voiced by the same guy, so it’s basically a guy sassing himself.

Why gun confiscation is ableist

Let me lay out a situation for you.

There’s this woman whose wheelchair bound. Let’s call her Amy.

One day Amy is chilling in living room, watching tv.

Then some bad guy breaks in her house with the intention of hurting her.

Now, a giant man vs. a woman in a wheelchair, Amy’s chances aren’t great.

But let’s involve guns.

There are four possibilities to this.

1. No one has a gun-Amy loses 2. Bad guy has a gun-Amy loses 3. Amy has a gun-Amy wins 4. Both have a gun-Amy’s chances are 50/50, but her chances can get better if she gets training on how to effectively use a firearm.

In this situation, the only way I see Amy getting out of this unharmed is if she has a gun.

So, people who are into banning guns, please realize you’re taking away disabled people’s best chance of surviving an attack.

How about we take care of Amy so she doesn’t need a gun to defend herself the fuck? Most disabled people can’t even hold a weapon, let alone load aim and fire accurately? Not to mention they’d be under duress?

Weak argument. Ableism has nothing to do with guns, period. Meet some disabled people and realize whether mental or physical it isn’t just about sitting your ass in a wheelchair (alone!) waiting around for bad guys.

I’m gonna rain on your parade here. There’s absolutely no reason a disabled person couldn’t handle a firearm, depending on disability. Not to mention the fact that disabled people make for “easy” targets considering they may not be able to get away, or defend themselves properly. A very dear friend of mine who is no longer with us got jumped by a group of gang members who knocked him down, pulled off his prosthetic leg, and proceeded to take his wallet and keys, and then beat him. You suggest we “take care” of Amy but make no recommendation on how to do that.  I say teach Amy how to properly handle a gun and how to defend herself. It’s not about sitting around in your wheelchair waiting for someone to break in, it’s about not letting yourself become a victim regardless of your physical condition. Independence is key to living a fulfilling life as a disabled person. Why rely on someone else for protection with you could simply do it yourself. Oh, and here’s me:

for disabled people. But Todd, “what about people with weak grip strength?”, you may ask. Well there are guns for that too. Here’s a guy with no arms shooting a gun with his feet

Always reblog Todd shutting them the fuck down.

I don’t really like guns, but I’m reblogging for the cool guy who does.

Badass.

I want you. I want all of you. I want you when you’ve got your hair up and you’re in sweatpants and a t-shirt. I want you when you’re aggravated at everyone and everything. I want you when you’re talking about something you love and your eyes light up with passion. I want you when you can’t stop laughing at something stupid and your nose crinkles the way it does when you laugh. I want you when you’re angry with me and you make me feel like shit because I know you’re right to be angry with me. I want you when you just got out of the shower and your hair is wet and messy. I want you when you are focusing on your homework, when you block everything out and you don’t even realize how beautiful you look. I want you when you’re so hungry that you’re grumpy. I want you when you’re happy and your smile lights up the room. I want you when you’re around your family, seeing how happy they can sometimes make you. I want you when you’re needy and need to hold onto me. I want you when you’re crying and I can see all the pain in your eyes. I want you when you’ve spent all morning to look good and damn you do, but you don’t have to spend all morning to look beautiful. I want you when you’re sick so that I could take care of you all day. I want you when you hate yourself, so I can tell you how perfect you are and kiss every one of your insecurities. I want you when you are singing along to your favorite song. I want you when you’re embarrassed, and you try to hide your face. I want you when you’re confident. I want you when you’re sad. I want you when you’re moody. I want you when you’re afraid. I want you when you’re lonely. I want you when you’re being selfish. I want you when you’re hopeless. I want you when you’re excited. I want you all day, every day, for the rest of my life.

I just want you… (via just-another-sleepless-night)
