#RIP King Of One-Liners
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live | NYCC Teaser
One of my favorite aspects of S5 is watching Tim and Tamara's relationship grow.
From awkward around each other
to teasing/jokingly annoyed with the other
I really want to see some protective Dadford in S6.
#injured men worrying about their wives reactions
You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince!😌🥰

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE
| 1.07 | “The Thing Lay Still”
Lestat giving Louis a heartfelt speech on the balcony and asking him for a last dance when he knew exactly what was going to happen, Lestat kissing Louis in a room full of people which was a ridiculously big deal in such a homophobic time, Lestat dying from Claudia’s poison and instead of begging Louis for his life he simply accepts how it is going to play out, Lestat being seconds away from having his throat cut but still telling Louis how much he loves him, Lestat not caring about death as long as it was Louis giving it to him, Louis is the love of Lestat’s life and nobody can ever change my mind.
honestly I think a part of Antoinette’s purpose (as a character in a piece of media) is to contrast Lestat’s relationship with Louis. Lestat’s motives with her were always p clear: first as a way to make Louis jealous (partial success; not the reaction (murder) he hoped for); then as a distraction/someone to give him the attention he thrives on (successful); then again to make louis jealous (successful, but again, no murder—swimming the Mississippi made up for this though); and finally as a spy to keep Claudia in line/lestat aware of her plans against him and louis alive (kinda successful for lestat minus the Claudia part, rip for Antoinette).
as a character, her purpose is to aid lestat—the villains sidekick, if you will. while she’s there for major moments, her own development as a character is pretty static—she wants lestat, she doesn’t really change much from this. her other goals are secondary traits that have little to do with the overall plot (wanting to be a movie star for ex). It’s not even clear why she wants lestat—he gives her immortality ultimately, and we know the dick must be pretty good if she’s out her chopping off fingers for it—but there’s no background, no deep motives. she doesn’t need them, as a character, given her role in the story—the character is there to assist lestat in his character arc. (it sounds like bad, but keep in mind this is character analysis! not all characters are there to be a whole complete person)
the other way her character assists lestat is she shows how deeply his feelings for Louis are. with Antoinette, he is aloof, very manipulative, and very clearly is using her for his own means without regard to her own feelings. he looks her at barely sees her, but wants her to see him. In contrast, lestat is consumed by his love for Louis—Louis shapes his whole world (part of why it’s so toxic from the start and only devolves from there). Louis is the most important person to lestat, It’s Louis attention lestat is constantly seeking. “this silence is cruel,” “I hate you”/“as you should”…as long as Louis feels something for lestat, is thinking, talking, interacting with lestat, he is happy. it’s Louis indifference that kills lestat, triggers him.
if Antoinette leaves or dies, he doesnt care. he can find another Antoinette. but if Louis so much as ignores lestat, he loses his mind.
100%, I have no notes
