introducing: “cat’s eye” chrysoberyls!

i wanted to try and make my own gem type and for some reason whenever i’m presented with the opportunity to make alien characters, my first idea is always “KITTY” so...here are my little bastard cat gem children. the >:3c energy is off the charts

chrysoberyls are yellow diamond’s version of aquamarines, holding the same rank and being roughly the same size (as they’re both beryls). chrysoberyls are slightly taller than aquamarines but still smaller than rubies for example.

like aquamarines have hydrokinesis and use it to form water wings, chrysoberyls have ferrokinesis, forming tails of gold to act as an extra limb. they can also use the gold to form sharp claws on their hands for combat and climbing. being extremely agile and fast, as well as often possessing a ferocious temperament, they are formidable foes in battle despite their size.

chrysoberyls tend to have markings on their skin naturally formed during their incubation in a kindergarten, which they cannot change. these markings may come in the form of stripes (as shown in these three examples), spots or patches. most chrysoberyls will possess some type of facial marking.

these chrysoberyls are all from the same kindergarten; from left to right they are 3KV, 3KT, and 3KU, or “Blaze”, “Button” and “Bell”.
