The worldbuilding for Madoka Magica is so laughably ridiculous the more I think about it. There’s an entire conspiracy of alien ferrets bolstering human evolution because we are canonically so stupid we could not have done it on our own. Said alien ferrets have learned to harvest human emotions as an energy source to prevent the heat-death of the universe but EXCLUSIVELY target teenage girls because that’s the only demographic that emotes hard enough to do this viably. They also think having emotions is a mental illness. They start poking around the soul of a teenage lesbian and accidentally turn her into Satan and she is now hunting them for sport.

Incredible cosplayers and prop builders who regularly post tips and how to’s that you should be following:

God Save the Queen Fashions- https://www.facebook.com/gstqfashions (who seriously needs to release a book)

Special notes:

* While there are places on this list that I  have shopped, I picked up a lot of these from other people. I have NOT  shopped at every one of these.

* I originally made this for a local cosplay group (Treasure Coast Cosplayers: https://www.facebook.com/tccosplayers ), which is why some notes are Florida specific.

* Special tips via @renfamous

Be  careful with some of these places when it comes to online  payments.   Make sure you’re buying from places that use reputable payment  vendors like PayPal or Google wallet, or at the very least don’t enter  your   card number into anything unless the transaction page url starts  with   an https.

Also everyone please please please do not use your debit card for your first ever purchase from some Romanian cosplay shop that opened three weeks ago.   Use your debit card to buy a Visa gift card at a drug store or ask   your  parents if you can use their credit card and give them cash on the   spot.

Credit cards give you many more options if the vendor   doesn’t deliver or ships you some busted ass dead possum wig from   Taipei. Not saying the above listed places are necessarily bad, but   these are still good tips for making safe foreign purchases online.

Special thanks to everyone who helped put this list together!

I thought this was my hometown for a second

So this has actually been cited by academics as part of the major draw to online spaces is the fact that just existing in public is reacted to with hostility and punishment. Gretchen McCulloch discussed this is in her book Because Internet, citing research that shows teens and young adults want to be outside! We want to spend time in social places, it’s just that there aren’t any places to exist in public without being charged for it.

honestly even if ur 100% monogamous its healthy to be able to like... discuss your own attraction. your partner shouldnt be getting wildly jealous over you having the hots for a celebrity or fictional character, and if your partner thinks your friends are good looking that shouldnt be panic attack inducing. thats like... normal? its normal to notice when people are attractive?

like ok be miserable but me n my bf will be laughing together over which pathetic fictional man we'd have as our third if he were real
