This was a recent personal project for fun and as a thought experiment. Lyrical Anachronisms.

I am a fan of anachronisms. (meaning some item or style used in a time era it is not normally suited for). They are thought provoking as a visual style. I do smaller projects and mainly for myself. Many of these are anachronisms. This particular one is taking song lyrics that mean something to me and making them into silent film text slates of the late 1800s/early 1900s.

“Lucifer” (Final) By @egregoredesign This is an interpretation of the Paradise Lost version of the character. The emphasis was pride, power, and rebellion as opposed to common hellish motifs applied to him. This is supposed to be the Fallen Left Hand of the Creator with still the arrogance and diminishing grace.

This version believes what he did was justified. He is the embodiment of power and the pride that comes with it. And he will never back down. Pride comes before the Fall.

The term above is exitus acta probat which means in English “the outcome justifies the deed.”
