I'd rather have a thousand "OHMIGOD WE WERE RIGHT!!!" theory confirmed moments where due to good storytelling and foreshadowing the audience was able to figure out parts of the future plot than just one more stupid twist that makes no narrative sense to avoid being "predictable".

If people knowing anything about your plot spoils the show entirely maybe it's just no good lmao.

It's not worth ruining your narrative themes and character integrity just so everyone is shocked. Sometimes twists that have been guessed .... Are better.

the feeling of learning is legitimately so cool. there’s a little whoa sound effect that plays in your brain whenever you read a sentence that expands reality for you a tiny bit

the characterisation of hobie brown ... i was SO worried they'd water him down to a love triangle fill in but NO!!! he's a supportive friend, number one hype man, loyal to his morals, mischievous ... he's so quick to help miles and outright refuses to go against him AND gives gwen his portal watch so she can go back him up.

It’s a small thing in the overall narrative, but I can’t get over how tactile Hobie is. Play-fighting with Pavitr, throwing his arms around Pav and Miles’ shoulders, how he holds Mayday so gently!! It’s so refreshing to see the too-cool-for-you character be subverted in the way Hobie is, where his rebellious attitude isn’t just cynical edginess (like a lesser writing team would give him) but a guy who can/will fight for what he believes in while acting as the hype-man for his friends, and I think his physically affectionate nature is a fantastic way to visually convey that. After all, there’s nothing more punk than radical love. God I adore this movie

Truth is, it reads more like "she can do everything" and "him, it's just Ken"

And ken is a slang used in French that means "to fuck"

Which I think is even more hilarious

The fact it's accidental is amazing because the play on words is actually genius

some people are so so so unwilling to acknowledge that - even if they are disabled in some way - there are disabled people who cannot do whatever they think most people can do. some disabled people can't leave the house. some disabled people will need support to run a blog like this. some disabled people are spending all their energy on managing their health to do whatever else you think is more important. if a disabled person says "i can't do x" there is never a time where it's appropriate to say "i did it and i'm disabled" because all you've said is that you're less impacted by that disability than the other person

The way they mirror each other about it and feeling upset that they aren’t taken seriously as their lives fall apart from being turned into something more than you were. The way that both of them are fed up and take action about it and slowly reveal they are threats. The way they force others to take them into consideration because they SHOULD BE.
