{ Hmm... I’m working on cleaning up my muse list, but I’m not entirely sure what to do about my Steven Universe muses. My muse for SU in general has been kind of dead... but it might come back after the new episodes? Or it might not.

Out late at night, back to crimes once more.

...Well. Technically, neither Mae nor Gregg was doing anything illegal. It was a mutual agreement that they really should try to put those days behind them, no matter how tempting it was to do for the fun of it. There were ways to have fun without breaking the law or being irresponsible, after all.

Fun was soon interrupted, though, when a shadow was spotted moving --- something so very obviously unnatural, that the two of them stiffened in a moment of fright. Flashes of the “ghosts” that had been haunting them for so long flickered across both their minds, and needless to say the uneasiness that draped itself over them was almost suffocating.

    “...Dude. Did you see that?”

    “You’re asking me? You’re the one with built-in night vision!”

    “Do we... uh... go after it?”

    “That doesn’t sound like a very good idea.”

A beat of silence passed between them, and then:

    “We’re gonna do it anyway, huh?”

    “Yep.”

And so, Mae and Gregg ventured towards the mysterious figure spotted, driven by curiosity and dread alike.

{ Boy, it sure has been a while, huh. Look, I’ve got a new mun faceclaim and everything! My attention’s been on one of my other blogs for the most part --- namely my The Adventure Zone blog. But, I’m here now, and I’m gonna give this blog a facelift! I’m gonna clean up my muse list, clear out my drafts, and start fresh! }

{ I... really am sorry I haven’t been around lately. There’s been a lot going on, in real life and mental health wise. It’s just left me feeling overwhelmed when I try to think about drafts. But! I am going to make an effort to be here today, and get some replies done! }

Lup wasn’t certain what compelled her to voice the thought --- only that it had been on her mind for a long while. Reflecting on all that had happened, memories lingering, thoughts that wouldn’t leave her alone. 

Existing as nothing but a soul tied to an umbrella... It hadn’t been an ideal existence. Terrifying in its own right, when she found herself stricken with those memories, and she had to remind herself that she had her own, real, physical body back now. Conscious, but incapable of acting on her awareness beyond what she could do through the magical umbrella.

And, for the longest time, no one had remembered she even existed. Of course she knew, that was the doing of Lucretia and the Voidfish --- but that didn’t change the fact that, for a time, she had been effectively erased from existence altogether. There by her brother’s side, whom had forgotten that he ever had a twin...

She regretted opening her mouth to speak, though. Some part of her didn’t want to go down this path, open up this vulnerability inside her, not even to the one she trusted the most. So she averted her gaze and shook her head, tried to dismiss the matter altogether.

    “I--- No, it’s nothing. I guess I was just thinking out loud or whatever...”
