The winds that carried out through the air kissed him similar to those of his hometown. It wasn't as cold in Dragonspine (though that didn't mean that it wasn't cold) but the air was thick, and there was snow. He knew this was the closest he would get to Snezhnaya, but this.. this was so dead.

a/n: chose the title because windspiel(e) is wind chime in german, iirc? but spiele(n) also meansย โplayโ. itโs been a while since i actually studied the language so on god i might be wrong when i say that it also works for likeโฆย โplayingโ instruments. nonetheless i thought it was a cute lil pun i could make because they play the instrument of barbatos in the fic !! :D

while albedo explains the situation but fails to explain why he even brought you along, your thoughts canโt help but focus on the object that now lies in your hands, rather than listening to your loverโs words. blood rushes to your head as nervousness wracks your body over the sheer importance and value of the lyre. what if you dropped it? what if you snapped its strings on accident? what if you dented it? what if you playing it only caused it to become worse? what if..?
