Andrew & Bridget's Future Townhouse, 3PM

With just a week to go until the wedding, Andrew and Bridget's kitchen remodel is finished! Bridget is excitedly counting down the hours until she can finally be starting this new chapter in her life. She hasn't been able to sneak any more kisses from Andrew, but she's content that her first kiss ever will no longer be in front of a public audience.

She has slowly been moving things over. It was convenient being only two units away from her parents, but Bridget had a slight nagging suspicion that she would be seeing her parents more often than she'd like to as a newlywed.

San Sequoia Chapel, 6:30 PM

With the wedding approaching soon, Bridget decided to visit their venue with Andrew again before he had to head back to Brindleton Bay. Their chaperone was a friend from church who they both knew well.

The chapel was small, but Bridget and Andrew weren't expecting a lot of guests. Although Andrew comes from a big family, since he's the youngest, most of his older siblings are married and lead busy lives with children and careers. Andrew would be lucky if even 5 out of his 13 siblings showed up, especially since most were scattered across Simerica.

After they looked around the small church, picturing their perfect wedding day, Bridget and Andrew sneak off while their chaperone was in the bathroom.

"You know, it's getting harder for me to keep my hands off of you, Bridget," Andrew says, "You're so beautiful."

Bridget blushes, but lets his compliments wash over her. She's struggled with her appearance almost her entire life, having constantly been degraded by her mother. Andrew made her actually feel beautiful for once. She feels him wrap his arms around her and push his lips to the side of her head.

"Is this okay? I can let you go if it's too much," Andrew says.

Bridget shakes her head, "No, don't let go!" she says, her blush deepening.

Andrew looks in her eyes and Bridget wants him to kiss her so desperately it hurts. She didn't want to wait 6 more weeks and she certainly didn't want her first kiss to be in front of her family and friends. God would forgive her, wouldn't he?

"Kiss me," she whispers and he obliges.

Side note, but Bridget might be my favorite sim I've ever made.

I mean just look at her!!! I'm sorry she's doomed to a fundie lifestyle.

San Sequoia, 12 PM

Bridget was able to snag some engagement photos with Andrew while he was in San Sequoia, working on their townhouse with her father. She took the opportunity to stand as close to him as possible, since before they were engaged her parents enforced a strict no-touch courtship.

She also took the opportunity to get some selfies with him and a few more pictures to hang on her bedroom walls until the wedding.

They are still not kissing until their wedding day, but it was nice for them both to spend some (chaperoned) time together.

Andrew grew up in Brindleton Bay. He's the youngest of 14 children and his parents are both in their 70s. He is 27 years old and studied graphic design and computer information. His current job is completely remote - doing work for the Cowplant Baptist Development Foundation (CBDF). He upkeeps their website and works on their marketing and promotional materials.

He will be moving to San Sequoia two weeks before his and Bridget's wedding. Bridget is counting down the days and can't wait to marry the man of her dreams.

The Weaver Residence, Evening Time

(Bridget's POV)

As time slowly crawls to my wedding day with Andrew, I spend my free time doing my usual activities but also decide to try some cooking.

I love painting! I spent most of my childhood and teenager years painting and doing arts and crafts. Being an only child did have it perks.

However, I am not very good at cooking. Mama doesn't want me in the kitchen too much because she thinks it will make me over-eat and gain weight. For some reason, no matter how much I diet and exercise, I just can't get as thin as Mama. I think this is just how my body is, but Mama seems to think I'm just lazy.

Since I'm going to be a wife and homemaker soon, though, I have to learn how to cook. Andrew will expect homemade meals and if I can't cook for him I'll be useless!

I've been going to bed early to make the days go by faster. Can't wait to be a wife!

Bridget's Room, 7PM

It's been a few days since wedding dress shopping, and Bridget is getting antsy waiting to see which dress she gets. Her mother hadn't mentioned anything about ordering a dress yet, and Bridget didn't bring it up. She was sure that Carla hadn't talked to Billy about it at all and would just make the decision herself using Billy's checkbook.

She was writing her nightly journal entry.

Dear Journal,

Today was good. I spent most of the day wedding planning with Mama. With the wedding only two months away we are really kicking it into high-gear. I can't believe I'm going to be Mrs. Andrew King.

Andrew will be moving into our future townhouse next month to help Daddy get it ready. They're planning to remodel the kitchen and bathroom. Andrew currently lives in Brindleton Bay - I can't wait to have him only a few doors down from me! I'll get to see him everyday. It's so hard having a long distance relationship, but it does make it easier for us to honor the Lord and not commit any sins before our marriage.

I'm currently working on sewing some new curtains and can't wait to decorate my own house. Mama said she'll help, too, but I'm not sure if her style is the same as mine. I don't want to hurt her feelings, but sometimes I think she wishes I was a miniature version of her in everything - personality, likes, dislikes, looks. I'm 24 now, almost 25, and she and Daddy very much still control my life. I hope having Andrew as my guidance and headship will be better.

Anyway, that's all for now. I'm going to SimTime Andrew and talk about Corinthians 13:2-7. Each night we read parts of the Bible and discuss it to help strengthen our relationship with each other and God. It was Andrew's idea and I am so glad he thought of it. Mama has to be on our SimTime calls too, to make sure we aren't doing anything impure, but she usually mutes herself and turns off her video so it's like she's not even there.

San Sequoia Bridal Boutique, 2PM

Our story starts with Bridget and Carla wedding dress shopping.

The first dress Bridget tries on wasn't modest enough, so she had to wear a shirt underneath it.

Carla: "Bridget, have you been dieting like I told you to?"

Bridget: "Of course, Mama. My dessert last night was a raisin."

Carla: "Hmm, okay well it's not working. I'll have to cut that extra celery stick out of your lunch."

Bridget isn't a fan of this dress, mostly because she doesn't want to think about how much sewing she'd have to do to make it modest enough.

They select a few other dresses to try on and Bridget ends up ditching her up-do for her usual hairstyle, since she wants to wear her hair down at the wedding.

The second dress has beautiful lace detailing, but Bridget wasn't a big fan of the shape. Carla was too busy eavesdropping on the people in the room next to theirs to even look at it.

The third dress had a high neckline like the second, but fit Bridget's curves a bit better. She loved it and considered it her favorite, but Carla was jealous of how beautiful Bridget looked in it that she said it could cause other men to stray and that Bridget would dishonor her fiancé if she wore that gown by causing other men to lust after her.

The fourth dress was stunning and really made Bridget glow. She loved the fit and the details on the bodice/sleeves.

Carla: "This dress is nice, but I'm not sure the shade is going to match your decorations. It's a bit off."

Bridget: "But Mama, the label said 'pure white' I think it should be fine."

Carla: "I'll have to talk to your father. The sleeves being see-through are concerning and I'm not sure he'll approve. What about that second dress you tried on? I think that was perfect."

Bridget: "I don't know, Mama. I'll think about it."

Bridget knows Carla didn't even pay attention to the second dress, so before they go, when she writes down the style IDs for each dress, she swaps the second and third. She has a feeling Carla won't even consult Billy and will instead automatically order the second dress. This way, if Carla calls the shop to order the second dress, they will actually be ordering the third one. Hoping this plan works, Bridget leaves the shop with her mother with an extra pep in her step.
