⭐️ No, not that kind of star. Harry was a literal, actual star. He had spent eons watching the universe unfold and bearing witness to the changes that came as the matter and space expanded around him. 

⭐️ The best part of all of it though was that Harry had been with his soulmate star from the moment he came into existence. There was not a time that Harry had been in the sky when Louis wasn’t also there, numbering the worlds and acting as a partner to Harry’s memories in every way. 

⭐️ He had heard the tales told of other soulstars who could hear their mates through their entire trial, but for the first time ever, Harry felt the void of that connection with Louis. He had never felt so empty. So alone. Then one day, Harry sat in the very permeating and loud silence he had been filled by, and it finally hit him. He understood.

⭐️ Louis couldn’t call Harry to him because he had forgotten everything. He had even forgotten Harry.

“Louis,” Harry breathed happily. His smile widened as he realized he’d finally found him, and he was stood before his soulstar. This was the closest they’d been in 31 Earth years, which had felt extraordinarily long for Harry, even in his star form. He could hardly withhold his happiness at seeing him again.

“Erm, yeah,” Louis said, interrupting Harry’s thoughts with his brows furrowing and looking clearly suspicious. “And you are?”

Harry and Louis are literal stars who have known they were soulmates from their creation eons ago, however when Louis came to Earth to start the next phase of their fated future, he forgot everything. Even Harry.

This leaves Harry to break the rules and instead of waiting for Louis to call him and join him on Earth, he crashes down on his own. Without Louis there to guide him and help him learn how to adjust to having a human body and everything associated with that, Harry has no other choice but to do the best he can.

As Harry tries to correct what has gone wrong, he finds that friendship can be a light even in the darkest night, and through those bonds even separated soulstars can find their fated path once more.

“Louis, what do you have to say about how last week ended?” the reporter asks. There’s a moment of silence. Harry is looking at the reporter, but eventually gives in and looks down the table at Louis. He’s looking straight ahead, as if Harry isn’t even in the room. “If you can’t take the heat, then get out of the kitchen.” Harry leans forwards, placing his arms on the table and leaning onto them to get as close to his microphone as he can while looking at Louis. “And what’s that supposed to mean?” Louis turns to him, his icy blue eyes meeting Harry’s. “Driving is your fuckin’ job, act like it.”
