Skybound Concept Art + Patreon

Hi!

From now on, i will be posting reference sheets, concept art and other designs early on my Patreon! This includes certain refs that i cannot share publicly yet for certain characters. (the diamonds, pink sky etc.)

Non-patrons will still eventually see them, it will just take longer! I also post all my other art there in the full resolution and you can participate in polls and discussion!

Patrons in the second tier get an exclusive Q&A once a month where i (and sky) can answer some of your questions directly!

So if you want to see some bits of what i have planned and support me at the same time, i would be very grateful if you’d become a patron~

Sky was born with them! They were too small to let him fly when he was younger though.

Important Skybound AU Update

Hi! As you might have noticed, this blog has been pretty dead for some time. The combination of school and other personal stuff happening made it really hard for me to focus properly on this comic. I’ve thought about it, and i have decided to stop working on the SB comic. Now, that doesn’t mean this blog or au is done!

I will be turning this blog into an askblog!

This way, i can work on the story in smaller chunks that are more manageable for me, and you guys will be able to get the story faster.

This means i will need to rework my patreon rewards for some tiers. I will be uploading the unfinished first page to my patreon, so if you’d really want to see it, that’s the one way to do it!

Thank you so much for your support guys. I never expected so many people to take interest in this au, and i am very grateful!

I’m glad you’re enjoying the AU! Yes, the first page is being worked on, slowly but surely. I’m taking a break with refs so i have more time to focus on the actual comic, but you will get them eventually!

Yep! Every pair of wings is connected to a bird, which has a lot of symbolism hidden behind it. Often it’s more than one thing, so i’m excited to see what you guys can come up with!

Actually Steven doesn’t know a lot of Surface music. He mostly makes his own songs on the ukulele Greg gave him!

I won’t reveal what kind of birds the wings are based on because there is some symbolism hidden in haha. Feel free to guess though! It might be a bit difficult since the colors aren’t the same for gem wings (most of them at least), so i might reveal them later on.

Someone managed to guess Steven’s wings on the skybound server though. Steven’s wings are based on a flamingo! ^^
