Is Justin still allowed to be a bully to everyone?

Only you now.

Hello! For some reason, I got super nostalgic today and missed seeing you guys post pretty much every day. Hope you're all OK and able to post more soon because your content is great. Thanks so much! Also, is your discord server still running?

Avatar

Hello!

Definitely feel you on the nostalgia! Amy and I talk on occasion about bringing the blog back, but it’s far more time than any of us can commit to currently.

The Discord server is no longer associated with this blog and has its own leadership, but it is certainly still running!

Hi! I don't know if this blog is still active, but I have a slight sorting problem. A few people in my family tell me that I would probably be in Ravenclaw, which I can understand and accept. I am definitely curious, intelligent, open-minded, and witty. My only problem is that I also value resilience, determination, and loyalty to my loved ones. None of those are Ravenclaw traits, so I'm still stuck wondering about my house.

Traits are not requirements, and having traits typically associated with other houses is not disqualifying.

You can absolutely be a resilient, determined, and loyal Ravenclaw just as Hermione was an intelligent, accepting, creative, and curious Gryffindor.

Hey, idk if you've already done this but could you show the hp houses as quotes from The Office please? Xx

Gryffindor:

“I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them.” – Andy Bernard (Season 9, Finale)

Hufflepuff:

“Sorry I annoyed you with my friendship.” — Andy Bernard (Season 3, The Return)

Ravenclaw:

“Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.” – Michael Scott (Season 5, The Duel)

Slytherin:

“Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.” – Michael Scott (Season 2, The Fight)

Justin, your thoughts on Hogwarts teachers? Which one of them stole your heart (somehow) and who annoyed you the most?

This is so hard to choose.

I really need to re-read the series, but young Justin really enjoyed Amycus Carrow. For as little and as late as his role was in the books, he always stuck out to me as a favorite character/teacher. Not because he is good, but because he was interesting to me.

Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with the badass that is McGonnigal.

Who annoyed me the most... Again, I really need to re-read the series.

hmmmmmmmmmm....

Pretty Little Liars Hogwarts Houses

The Liars:

Hanna - Gryffindor Primary, Hufflepuff Secondary

Hanna was tricky. She’s very brave and loyal. Knowing she isn’t a Ravenclaw or Slytherin left us with 2 houses. I went with Gryffindor however, because she doesn’t do very well with hard work. She seems to value being brave over being a hard worker, and you’re put into a house because of your values. Secondary is how you act, so I put her in Hufflepuff.

Emily - Hufflepuff Primary, Gryffindor Secondary

Now, I’m not one to sort a group into different houses, but Emily works for what she wants. She practices swimming and is proud when she’s done her best. She’s a really good example of a ‘Puff. But she is brave, which is why I made Gryffindor her secondary.

Aria - Ravenclaw

Now, I don’t really think that she’s a tie on anything, which is why I didn’t include a secondary house. Aria’s a good example of a non-nerdy Ravenclaw. She’s creative, individualistic, open-minded, and very down to earth, which is why she fits so well.

Spencer - Slytherin (And her entire family, lol)

This girl is so Slytherin it hurts. She’s ambitious, cunning, and shrewd, all traits of Slytherin. Yes, she’s smart, but Ravenclaw isn’t about just being smart. Even Troian Bellisario sorted her into Slytherin, and actors who play a character for a while know their stuff. She’s a great example of what a Slytherin can and should be.

Alison - Slytherin

If you don’t think Ali is a Slytherin, then we’re watching a different show.

Just saying.

Mona - Slytherin

This one wasn’t hard. And no, this isn’t a “bad guy/girl goes straight into Slytherin” sort of thing. She’s obviously cunning and shrewd, and ambitious enough to get into 3 (or 4?) Ivy League schools EA with a full ride.

The Significant Others

Caleb - Ravenclaw Primary, Gryffindor Secondary

Even when he was homeless, he spent his time learning coding and programming. He turned his passion into a career. He’s creative. But he’s also brave, and very protective of the ones he loves. So his secondary is Gryffindor.

Toby - Slytherin

I didn’t know where to put him. Not Gryffindor, not Hufflepuff, and certainly not Ravenclaw. That left me with Slytherin, and when you really think about it, it works. He’s shrewd and cunning, but it’s overshadowed a bit by his good side. But he was “A”, and that’s cunning enough for me to go with Slytherin.

Ezra - Slytherin

Ezra was a Slytherin from the beginning. He manipulated Aria into loving him and acted as if he knew nothing about her. He betrayed her, and I just always had a Slytherin feeling for him. He’s a bad example of one, but an example nonetheless. At least he’s hot.

Paige - Gryffindor

Now, I know that Emison is endgame, but Paily was a thing for a while. Paige is very Gryffindor and was brave enough to come out to her homophobic dad just because she loved Emily. She’s tough, loyal, and may not always be the best person but she just tries to align with her morals. At least she was always honest with Emily. Well, almost always.

Other Important People

Jenna - Slytherin

Again, is much explanation needed? She’s cunning and proven to be ambitious enough to get out of blind school after a year. Slytherin!

Just About Any “A” - Slytherin

Mona, Charlotte (CeCe) and Alex all fit the bill. So do most of the people on the A team. Except for Lucas, who is a total…

Lucas - Ravenclaw Primary, Slytherin Secondary

He’s a nerd, and he’s pretty much smarter than a lot of the people at his school. He’s also ambitious though, and cunning, so I put him as a Slytherin secondary. His Slytherin shows up most later in the show, which is why it’s second.

Hope you are wonderful!

so I've been in hufflepuff for years. and most of my pottermore sortings said I'm a hufflepuff(i had a lot of them sksks), but honestly i feel like i don't really know bc: - I'm very honest and don't like lies like a hufflepuff - but I'm impatient like a gryffindor - I'm also ambitious like a slytherin - I'm kind of a hard-worker like a hufflepuff but because of my impatience i sometimes can't finish things i start - people also say I'm intelligent like a Rawenclaw but i feel like a huff💛

Then you’re a Huff!

do you think a gryffindor can be creative? bc im creative and a gryffindor but people seem to only associate creativity with ravenclaws. bc thats really the only ravenclaw trait i relate to. what about a gryffindor who loves music/art/etc? hermione loved books! which is another thing associated with ravenclaw!

A Gryffindor can ABSOLUTELY be creative!

Gryffindors enjoy expression just as much as Ravenclaws and may even have their own unique ways of showing it through multiple forms of art.

Creativity is NOT exclusive to Ravenclaw!

Which House is more in line with "following your own path" ?

I view this as a tie between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw.

Gryffindors thrive on adventure and expression. They don’t always want to be tied down to expectations or limited in their expressive ability. They wish to be bold and daring, which often may conflict with the status quo, for better or worse. A Gryffindor is almost always a noticeable presence compared to the other houses in this way.

Ravenclaws similarly have an eye for self expression, but it may be more subtle or creative than the Gryffindor. Ravenclaw also value individuality and freedom, which often lead them to follow their own fleeting whims and many interests. With these interests, it is their constant curiosity and thirst for knowledge that may not quite cause them to “follow their own path” but actually be led down a path (or many paths!), called by their own growing, unique curiosities and interests.

Least likely would be Hufflepuff and Slytherin.

Hufflepuffs tend to prefer stability and being a reliable resource for others who may need their help. That is not to say that the Hufflepuff can’t follow their own path, but I think Hufflepuffs are likely the most careful to not stray too far from their path so as to not lose sight or separate themselves too much from others and their own sense stability that they create for themselves.

Slytherins are similar in that being precise and calculated rarely coincides with the unpredictability of going their own path. Many Slytherins enjoy the luxury of remaining within the status quo and what is expected of them as shaking up norms is an easy way to be put in a bad light; however, that is not to say that a Slytherin’s ambition can’t lead them down their own, very different, path of there is something to be achieved outside of this norm.

I'm one of those people who has no idea what House we are. The house I identify with the least is Gryffindor, but Pottermore put me in there. I feel like I could be either a Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I'm very ambitious and hard on myself but my mental health (I have OCD and anxiety with some depression) gets in the way of achieving my ambitions. I don't trust people.A a kid I was the top of the class, but I have since slipped to average. I love learning. Help? (Ran out of space)

It sounds to me like you have every idea what house you are.

Pottermore is NOT a reliable sorting method, and if you are ever disappointed by your result, then you know. It is like flipping a coin and realizing your excitement or disappointment when you see heads.

As much as mental health may be a part of you, it does not define you. Mental health is NOT a decisive factor for any house, but it obviously does affect how you may perceive yourself in each house.

What matters more is what you want and who you want to be - not always who you are or how you fear others may perceive you. Your house is your choosing based on your wants, not your fears.

I'm a Hufflepuff, and I'm best friends with a Slytherin 🙆 don't let people tell you that your house can't befriend the polar opposites

Avatar

I’m a Slytherin, and Amy (Hufflepuff) is my best friend!

The houses are far less different from each other than they appear. Regardless, what matters is not the qualities of the houses but the qualities of the people and their ability to cooperate with and celebrate people who think differently than them.

For what it's worth, I do miss you guys on my dash. Justin being the rascal he is and Jamie egging him on while Amy begs them not to corrupt Caitlyn always made me smile.

It’s worth a lot! Being called a rascal is genuinely the best compliment I have seen in weeks. I’m only sad to have seen this ask now. Hope you are doing great, shiningheart1!
