Jacob frowned before snaking an arm around her waist and pulling her against him.
“I can think of a few solutions to that. One involves getting someone’s favorite take out and watching their favorite movie and the other involves that massage table I got them for Valentine’s day. Thoughts?” He asked affectionately before pulling her into his lap.

Evie smiled and pushed her hair out of the way before snuggling into him “I could murder a pizza, a large one, and some fries, and garlic bread” she groaned into his neck as she snuggled in some more, reaching up to stroke his cheek.

Things about Henry Green from the Underworld novel:

  • His birth name is Jayadeep Mir (this is in Syndicate if you’re really looking) but he spends half the book calling himself The Ghost.
  • Lived in a slum tunnel filled with other homeless people, positioning himself between the criminals and the innocent to protect them.
  • Give one-on-one care to the homeless including an abused orphan, a disabled man, and a woman whom he is teaching to read (in English which is presumably not his first language).
  • Was extremely gifted in combat training but didn’t want to kill anyone, hence his organisational non-field role in Syndicate.
  • Was almost executed for his failure to kill his first ever target. His backstory adds so much nuance to his “did I jeopardise the mission?” speech.
  • Possibly suffers from PTSD from when his father assassinated someone in front of him.
  • As a child, cried a lot when people told him what to do (same, Henry, same).
  • “He was damned if he was going to walk on by while five men got their jollies beating up a woman.”
  • Tricks his way into the Templar order to spy on them.
  • But refuses to kill for them even when it’s a test of his loyalty.
  • It was his mother who suggested he collect pressed flowers.
  • He could tell all along that Evie and Jacob weren’t sent by the Assassin Council.
  • Knowing his story and spending time with him helped Evie to deal with the mental effects of killing so much.
  • Is actually the most glorious sweetheart.
  • Seriously.
  • I love him.
