it came as a surprise that she had actually gotten him a gift   ,   considering he’d mentioned that he didn’t want anything in the first place   ,   aside from making a sly joke about the vodkas he normally consumed in her home.   happily   ,   he took the box   ,   careful not to let the card slide off.   box and card were placed on the dining room table and he did as instructed   ,   wrapping torn off the box and soon it was opened   ,   to be met with the vodka he’d previously mentioned and his face certainly lit up at the sight.

Next up was the card   ,   which he quickly got into   ,   noting the large sum of money on it   ,   it was too much   ,   or he thought so at least.   but he hadn’t received gifts in so long that he could almost feel himself tear up at such generosity.   but before he could be a huge sap with her   ,   he nabbed the two bags ( filled with the finest and most expensive wines he could afford )   ,   along with a badly wrapped present ( which would be the cat sweaters she’d mentioned;   joke or not   ,   he had to do it anyway ).   presents were held out for her   ,   a warm smile across his lips as he leaned over to press a kiss to vivian’s cheek.

❛ you’re the best   ,   you know that   ?   merry christmas to you too and i hope we’re having that lazy holiday   ?   unless you managed to get a way home   ?   because i would be more than happy to spend a whole day with my best friend.   i love you   ,   vivian. ❜

                                                                    he knew he could get back home if he wanted   ,   but he’d lie his ass off and make an excuse to stay the night   ,   it was cold and really   ,   he would make any excuse to cuddle.   he immediately went off to get blankets and a smirk came to his lips   ,   he couldn’t help it   ,   he loved spending time with vivian and it was damn well obvious.

❛ i would use a portal but i seriously think this shit weather is fucking with it.   guess you’re stuck with me ‘til the snow melts.   so sorry you have to put up with a man child. ❜   a simple shrug of his shoulders as he seated himself next to her   ,   blanket draped over the pair as he snuggled himself up against vivian.

❛ but you love my cuddles   ,   so it isn’t all bad. ❜

                                        he’d been planning to show up ever since cale had left   ,   if there was a better time to meet his parents   ,   it would probably be at christmas.   and it was the only reason he asked for the address in the first place.   but he needed to get everything sorted in their home first   ,   mostly finding somewhere to keep butch while he was away   ,   which was more difficult than it sounded.

he made himself known in cale’s parent’s home   ,   by putting his arms around his boyfriend and he slyly held a mistletoe above his head ( totally not planned ).   adrian didn’t wait for cale to react and instead   ,   he gave him a long overdue kiss   ,   and he only held him closer as he did.   sure   ,   things between them were still rocky   ,   but he refused to let it ruin their christmas   ,   he wanted them to have a good holiday.   as he pulled back   ,   a smile came to his lips and he was mostly thankful that cale’s parent’s hadn’t walked in.
