To whoever is reading this, close your eyes just for a moment.

Remind yourself why you began this journey in the first place.

Reflect upon who it is that you are fighting for.

See yourself as you fight for your purpose, day after day, getting there step by step.

Remember your value. Remember your purpose. Look into your heart, and see your motivation. It overpowers all else.

Please stay strong, and believe in your journey.

Cross stitch kit has arrived! This project is about 8 times bigger than any cross stitch I've done before so it's a bit daunting but perfect for all the time I'm spending at home 😃

Wednesday weigh-in

The graph says it all, I haven't made any progress in months and have regained some pounds so now at 203.8lbs 😔

I also didn't meet my goal for this month which was to feel confident to wear a particular dress when seeing my colleagues for the first time in months. I ended up wearing a 'safe' dress instead.

Life during the pandemic has definitely had different phases for me and it feels like I'm about to start a new one. Another goal for this month was to complete the new chloe ting 2 week shred, so I still have enough time to do that if I start now. I'm kind of hoping it will revive the sort of phase I was in during the earlier days of lockdown when I did my first chloe ting challenge and was really committed. I'd love to see a consistent downward trend on the graph again!

The goal for the next two weeks is to shrink enough that this dress doesn't cling to my stomach and I can feel confident wearing it to see my work colleagues for the first time since March. I'm sick of trying to find clothes that hide my jelly belly!!

August Goals

- Morning walk every week day morning

- Keep on top of my work to-do list, stop procrastinating and take on some more cases

- Workout video or time on stationary bike every day

- Do a quick clean and tidy of the flat every evening

- Bed by 10:30 on weeknights

August Review

I didn't meet any of my goals consistently over the month, but I think I've managed to do them more often than I didn't so that's better than nothing!

Weightloss has taken a back seat this month. I spent one week having all my evening meals cooked for me because my bf was trying a hello fresh box and I didn't bother tracking the calories and that meant I didn't pay as much attention to what I was eating in general. The weather has been a real mixed bag, sometimes too hot to go out and other times torrential rain so I broke my habit of walking every day. And then I was rather unwell for over a week and just wanted to comfort eat.

I think one area I have made real progress is my job. I have been much stricter on myself and not taking as many/as long breaks during the day. Once I actually spend a bit of time on my work I usually get quite invested and start enjoying it.

This month's favourites:

Book - Expectation by Anna Hope

Album - A Celebration of Endings by Biffy Clyro

Film - Knives Out

TV show - Little Fires Everywhere

Activity/event - Playing board games with BF, this month we have tried several new ones including carcassone and castles of burgundy

Food - Thai curry - I realised that I'm not actually allergic to coconut milk which has opened the door to some really tasty food!

Photo - Didn't take many this month, but I like this one because I was having such a lovely afternoon
