Heyyo!

So it’s obvious by my url change, but for the shift to the new group, I’m archiving this one and making a new one! it’s the same url it had been, but don’t bother looking over there right now because there’s a whole lotta nothing. like i literally just made the url and shit, i haven’t even done themes or anything yet (i’ll probably just copy and paste what i have here tbh but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

anyway, i’ll be leaving this blog in the past and moving onto the new one for the future! Brooke’s keeping her blog, she hasn’t been around long enough to warrant a new one. But i have soooo muuuuch on here, it’s probably due for a revamp. (hah, vampire joke)

anyway yeah! I’ll be shitposting on @brookespages and maybe a little on here in the meantime!

Hey. I love you, Marcy. You're probably the best friend I've ever had. Thank you for everything.

“I-I love you too, Dio. I’m glad to have had you in my unlife, these past few years, and to have lived with you an-and everything. Thanks for being my bro.”

I have work in the morning, and I was up too late anyway, and now this...

I just want to say my time here with all of you has been incredible. Marceline is one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made, and I will never ever regret my random decision to app as her into Citta.

I’m sad to have it end like this, but I will be trying the new group, when that gets going.

Thanks everyone for being part of my online family for the past few years. Those of you who are going to go to the new group, once that’s up, I’ll see you there! Those of you who will take your leave after this, I’ll miss you.

My twitter, as always, is wickedlysecret. My personal tumblr is @wickedlysecret. My discord is haruka nanami#2564.

again, thanks for everything guys.

Love, Emily

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ

Hey guys! This will probably be very unfortunate news to you all, but we’ve been put in a situation where we have to bring this to your attention. After 7 long years Citta is about to be closed. We don’t know when or if that is the 100% for sure outcome, or whether it was intended to let it die out quietly, however two mods have already quit and the rest of us have been effectively locked out of the masterlist without any communication from the head moderator.

I won’t get into too much detail about the circumstances here, but over the past week (and farther back in general) there have been some issues that we haven’t been able to address within the moderator team, and despite several attempts to rectify the situation it seems we won’t be able to come to satisfactory conclusion in the end.

But all hope isn’t lost. After some discussion during the past week, mods oo4, oo7, o13, and myself have decided to create a new group in its stead.

Most importantly, Citta members will get an opportunity to claim muses they had in Citta at the time of closing and will retain all of their memories, unlocks, and a rank of equivalent value in our new system.

In the meantime, feel free to continue any threads you currently have in the group since memories will carry over to the new group, however do not explicitly refer to citta. We’ll have new information very soon on this blog, so please keep an eye out! In the meantime I will be using my unlocked twitter here to address any questions or concerns. This will be a sad time for all of us and trust me when I say none of us wanted it to reach this point.

Thanks for your support, and I hope you’ll continue to support us in the future! We profusely apologize for any inconvenience or anxiety this change may cause you.

IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ.

Good morning, everyone.

I come to you all with a heavy heart right now.

Due to circumstances that have continued for a good length of time and several conversations among staff, we have reached the tough decision to dissolve as the moderation team of Citta-Alveare. Due to this, Citta is effectively closed.

It was a long and emotional road we went down to get to this point and no doubt many of you reading this are now troubled. We are, too. But we do have options going forward.

A new group is in the process of being built and will launch soon, headed by myself and mods oo7 and oo4, as well as mod blank. Those interested in joining will be able to maintain their rank, memories and unlocks if they choose to migrate to the new group. You may also continue any threads you have running in the meantime, but feel free to use a general city setting. We will have more information forthcoming in the near future.

If you have questions or concerns, I direct you to my main Twitter account, @ KRStaley, which will be unlocked for the time being.

Again, I am very sad we have come to this point, and I am sorry to cause anyone distress. However, I and others hope you will join us and together we can look toward a happier future doing what we love.

Best,

Kei, mod o13

“You don’t know the half of it.” After all, not only did he have to deal with her usual level of chatter, but he’d seen her on truth serum, and he wasn’t sure what could really top that. Not that he minded–it was growing on him, if he were being honest. “A-and, yeah, I guess…I guess she does.” Not that he understood why, given everything.
Varian gave another, more genuine chuckle at the affection, and Rudiger let out a happy chirp in Marceline’s direction. Though the mood was quickly ruined by her next question.
“I–I d–what?!”
Image
The red on his face deepened, and he spent several moments spluttering incoherently before he could stammer out words.
“I–no, of course I haven’t! W-we only just started dating, we’re still trying to figure this out, I–I’ve never done it before, I don’t want to go fast…A-and besides, she’s really into fairytales and things and kissing is basically magic in her world, h-how am I supposed to live up to that?”

Marceline floats with her stomach facing the floor, resting her chin in her hands as she watches Varian stammer away, unable to fight the little grin that grows.

“Okay, number one, V: ‘only just started dating’ isn’t a good excuse. I kissed Dotty within minutes of confessing to her.” She shrugs. “Maybe I moved a bit fast in the beginning, sure, but there’s nothing wrong with getting right to smooching.”

Image

“And as for kissing being ‘magic’? Honey, I got a funny feeling she’s gonna have zero probs with you kissing her. If she’s the cheesy li’l girl I’m gettin’ the feel she is, she’s prolly gonna say some junk like,” and Marceline raises her voice a couple octaves for this, “‘A kiss from you IS magic~!’” She chuckles, rolling her eyes.

“It’s so nice to be able to have fun at the pool, even in the sun~!” Marceline’s decked out in a new swimsuit, a floral cover up, and a sunhat, hanging out poolside in a lounge chair, probably definitely posing. “I might even go for a dip soon.”

Avatar
“Are phones only for people who can’t fly, too,” Varian replied with a chuckle of his own, before going to sit on the bed, Rudiger immediately curling up in his lap. The raccoon seemed to calm down upon seeing it was Marceline.
A hint of red came to Varian’s face when she stated her purpose. Ah, of course, she’d be wondering about that…It still felt a little odd to talk about–a little awkward and unreal. He could still hardly believe it was happening.
Image
“Well, uh, y-you’re right about it going well…” He rubbed at his shoulder, shifting a bit in position. “W-we’re a…thing now, even though–neither of us has any experience with the whole relationship thing, so we’re not really sure what we’re doing, aha…Her name’s Brooke Page and she’s, uh, she’s from the same world as my roommate Raven and that Bunny girl, the world with all the fairytale characters…except she’s different because she isn’t a part of a story, she narrates stories, so she knows a lot of things but I wouldn’t consider her a science nerd…She’s really passionate about stories and happy endings and all that, though, it’s kind of charming. And she’s also really nice and really…excitable. You know how I start talking when you get me going on something? She gives me a run for it.”
He ended off his rambling with a laugh that quickly turned nervous as he realized he’d been rambling on. He awkwardly cleared his throat a couple of times, ducking his head and looking at Marcy out of the corner of his eye.

Marceline grins, her smile growing as Varian goes on and on about the girl he’s dating. Varian had it bad, and it was clear as day with how he was talking about Brooke.

“A girl who chatters more than you? That’s something I’d have to see to believe,” she teases, winking.

Image

“I’m really happy for you, though, Varian. You seem really into her. And judging by how she was cuddled up to you the other day, she seems to like you a heck of a lot herself.” She floats over to ruffle Varian’s hair, and give Rudiger a pat on the head.

“So, have you kissed her yet?” Hopefully Varian was okay feeling awkward for another moment or two, because Marceline had to ask that question.

Avatar
Marceline would hear a muffled cry along with distressed raccoon chittering from inside–it seemed that she had, indeed, startled Varian quite a bit. It took a few moments for Varian to scramble to the window, staring out at her with a look of surprise, quickly fading into frustration.
What was it with people flying up to his window lately?
Image
Marcy! Varian groaned as he opened the window, “Couldn’t you at least call first? Or, you know, use the door?”
It was clear Varian’s annoyance was more playful than anything, as he was quick to pull up the screen to let her in. His room was fairly neat, his notebook sitting on his dresser and his satchel hung up by the door, a few sticky notes scattered about. A book was lying facedown on his bed, clearly something he’d been in the middle of, and a rather spooked Rudiger was sitting next to it staring at Marceline.

Marceline just cackles good-naturedly. “Doors are for people who can’t fly, Varian~” comes her easy reply.

She floats into the room, lounging midair and making herself at home as she looks around the space and waving lightly at Rudiger. “Anyway, like I said, we’re overdue for some chatter, Var!” Marceline grins, crossing her legs and leaning forward, resting her hands on her knees.

Image

“How’d things go with that girl, dude? C’mon, share the deets! Clearly you did something right, if the two of you were cuddling so nicely when I showed up for that movie the other night.” Marceline’s expression is teasing, but also genuinely curious. “So? What’s her name? What’s she like? Is she a science nerd like you? Go on, spill, V!”

Avatar
@alchemicalvariable

Marceline hadn’t had much of a chance to bother Varian about the girl he likes, neither back when she’d given him advice nor when she caught them together at a recent movie night. But she needed to ask him questions, learn about the girl... embarrass Varian just a little.

She floats up to the window of his bedroom, because she can, and she knocks on the window, not fighting the huge toothy grin that comes over her at how much she’s probably going to startle him by showing up like this.

Image

“Varrr~ We’re overdue for a chat, my boy!” she calls as she continues tapping at the window.

//Hey guys! Just an update that I’m home from vacation and ready to get back into things!

Disney was fun but I’m very glad to be back in my own house in my own room.

//Hey guys! Just letting you know that I’m going to be on vacation from today (June 4) through June 13! I’ll be around on twitter, discord, and masto, but expect not much activity on here or on Brooke for the next week and a half(ish).

I’ll be back soon, and I’ll miss being on here into the wee hours of the night! Anyway, have a good night/morning/whatever everyone, and I’ll be back to making posts before we know it.

Varian stared up at her with a conflicted look in his eyes as he digested the new information. So, another oddity of this whole mess…his world wasn’t moving on without him. It had been a little amusing to imagine Corona’s royal family losing their minds over the unstable escaped prisoner possibly running around terrorizing the kingdom, but he supposed it made a strange kind of sense. He wasn’t sure if that made it better or worse, though–it made the prospect of staying here even more tempting, but he couldn’t let himself get too wrapped up in it, because…
“…I just don’t want to let him down,” Varian mumbled aloud, shutting his eyes and letting out a heavy sigh. There was more he wanted to say, but the words refused to come out. He opened his eyes to meet her gaze.
Image
She was letting him decide. No one had let him decide what his path was going to be, before. He wasn’t sure he could trust himself to make that choice. But…at least…
Varian abruptly threw himself forward and hugged her tightly, if awkwardly considering she was in the air and he was shorter than her as it was, and buried his face in her shirt.
“Thank you. For all of this. For…having faith in me. That’s new. A–a good new.”

The hug is a very welcome shock, and Marceline shows no hesitation in wrapping her arms around Varian in return, bending over to kiss the top of his head.

“You’re welcome, Varian,” she hums, and then lowers herself to the ground so that the hug can be more natural. “Everyone needs someone in their corner, especially in this place. I’m happy to be in yours.”

Image

“Peridot’s in your corner, too, hon. We’ll help you however we can, okay?” She pulls away to look at him with a tiny smirk. “And as for the girl you like... if she’s not in your corner, too, I’ll be having words with her.”

Marceline pulls him in for another hug. “With both things... just follow what you feel is right for you. Things will work in the end, I promise.”

Avatar
Varian practically deflated at her words. It wasn’t the solution he’d hoped–clearly she’d left and come back at the will of the scientists, and with the added caveat of not remembering anything from the city. The thought of it made his stomach churn more than he cared to admit. To be sent home from this place, losing everything he had here, and without even any new knowledge that could help his predicament?
“Oh. I…I get it.”
Image
“It’s just…” He shut his mouth before any more words could come out. Did he really want to…?
Yes, yes he did. If anyone deserved to know…
“…There’s someone back home who really needs my help. And my original plan was gonna be to go back by any means necessary so I could do that, but I…I’ve been putting it off. I don’t…really have a lot to go back home to. And I’ve already got so much going for me here, people like you, and Peridot, but…I can’t just abandon him.”

She watched him deflate, and she feels her chest contract a little bit at the sight--she’d not told him what he wanted to hear, but she had told him the truth.

“Sorry, Varian...” she mumbles, before listening to why he needed to go home.

Image

“... I’ve left people at home, too, by choosing that if given the choice, I want to stay here,” she confides. “But... you know how when we watch a movie and pause it, it doesn’t go forward or backward or anything without you going in and telling it to keep going? Your world is waiting for you to go back and hit the play button.”

Marcy rests her hands on Varian’s shoulders, leaning in to look at him. “Whoever’s waiting for you back there... he’ll be waiting for you regardless of if you spend your time trying to find a way out, or enjoying your time here.” She quirks a small smile. “I’ll support you in whatever you choose to do, but... the right answer is in your gut and heart, okay?”
