Kristen chuckled. “You mean the Chaos Emeralds?”
As anyone who still follows this blog knows (if there is still anyone from my active days), this blog is pretty much in perma-hiatus. I’m not really into Gotham anymore, and I hadn’t been for a while prior to my leaving, either. Mostly, I stuck around for my friends, and the people I really enjoyed talking to, and who I knew well.
Many of those people, though, eventually left the community for various reasons. Whether it was discomfort and discontent with the show writing itself, real life situations causing problems, or the general toxicity of the platform as a whole- I, and a lot of other people, couldn’t find the time or desire to be here anymore. That said, I do have a lot of those people on other social media sites like Discord, and I keep in touch with a handful of my good friends as best I can with the way my life has been going. So, I still find out when crazy shit happens. And some crazy shit is happening, currently- enough to bring me out of my goblin cave to type up a long post on a blog for a community I don’t write for anymore.
I will not address the various callouts going around- I haven’t been an active participant in anything in this sphere in over two years. I also no longer have screenshots, messages, or access to my old accounts that would have those types of references in their history. Any information I have about anything or anyone would be years old, and even if it is accurate or ‘helpful’ to one group or the other, it seems wrong to dredge it all up for the sake of proving someone right or wrong- especially since it’s stuff that no longer personally bothers me. It did, immensely, at the time. But I’m older and wiser now, and I didn’t make this post to hop into the drama pot, so to speak. I made this post to talk about @misskringle and I.

Marilyn Monroe’s 5-drawer travel makeup case, filled with cosmetics—some of which were still in their original boxes—was auctioned off at Christies in 1999 for $266,500. The case included lipsticks, eyeliner, nail polish, paper fans and a small collection of matchbooks from restaurants like long-running NYC theater district hotspot Sardi’s. (via)
