Lei smiled, scooping Pua up and kissing her face, "Thank you, my little blossom! Did you make this all yourself?"She took the flower crown and set it on her head. She loved it, obviously.

Kekoa, being so very used to having people crawl on him, didn’t move an inch as Aura settled herself atop him. He did, however, smile at the nose flick and wake-up call. He inhaled deep, lifting his wife a few more inches up, before exhaling and wrapping an arm around her.
“Now, if it isn’t the most beautiful ‘mon in the world,” he purred, slowly opening his eyes to look at her, “What a perfect way to start the morning! Alola, my dear.”
Aura let out a satisfied sigh as he wrapped his arms around her, “Aloha kakahiaka~” She shifted to look up, and kissed his chin, “And I thought breakfast in bed would be the best?”
Kekoa smiled brightly, the sleep leaving his expression immediately. He scooted up the bed so his head and shoulders rested on the headboard, "Breakfast in bed? Just when I thought this morning couldn't get any better!"
He chuckled softly, pulling Aura up so he could kiss her and nuzzle into her neck.

Lei tried to ignore that momentary waver in Ali’s expression and reached out to hold her hands.
“We simply must! Let me buy you lunch, Ali!” She announced, “What are you hungry for?”
Ali gave her hand a light squeeze back, “I am happy with whatever you’d like. I um… you all usually have a better understanding of this sort of thing!”
"Then let's let our whim decide, shall we?" Lei asked, motioning for Ali to come with her, "Just whatever catches our fancy. Maybe a nice diner?"

A soft blush crossed Lei’s face as she rested her hand on her stomach. It was quite round yet, and she was still getting used to this human-style gestation period.
“I am, I’m glad you heard!” She said, “I wanted to come tell you myself, but between wedding stuff, baby stuff, school for Kai and Pua, I’m… sure you can imagine. Oh, Ali, we simply must get together and spend some time together. Maybe a nice lady date?”
Ali felt a strange feeling wash over her, though she wasn’t quite sure how to explain it… it wasn’t anger, but it still hurt? Jealousy? Envy? What an ugly emotion…
“I-I would really like that…“ She replied, “I… I mean, I’ve got nothing planned? And I would love to hear more about those plans?“

Aura cheered as he scooped her up, and greeted him with some kisses of her own, “Alola!”
"How are you this beautiful spring day, my love?" He asked, nuzzling her face, "Do you need inspiration for a song? Or perhaps you would like a stroll around the castle on my back?"

“Of course not!” She said, “I have to see the birthday boy enjoy his cake and make a wish!”
She sat up to join him on the couch, leaning in to cover his cheek in kisses, “And yes, I made your cake, some chocolate and Alolan import flavors! Eat up so you can have your present~”
He turned his head to meet one of the kisses with his lips, before turning back to the treat, “Once we head back to Alola for the wedding, we should stock up on a bunch of supplies so you don’t have to import for awhile!” He eagerly dug into the cake, “Damn Lei! This is delicious!”
A smile crossed his tired face, “But I told you not to get me anything! I don’t need any presents!”
Lei smiled a little sheepishly, "Well, I did, so you'll just have to love it all the same."
She kissed him again, then presented a small birthday card to him. It had a cartoony mess of Flying type Pokemon on the front and the words 'Happy Birthday!'
Inside the card, however, the phrase 'For my favorite birds of a feather' had been scratched out to say 'For my favorite father of a bird!' And included a piece of folded hospital paper with an image on it.

Lei peeked out of the kitchen and winced. She’d been hoping to surprise him when he came home, but her sweet fiancee looked exhausted. Instead, she brought a slice of cake over to him, with a singular candle lit in it.
“Hauʻoli lā hānau, my love,” she cooed softly, kneeling down beside the couch.
Kai opened his eyes when he heard Lei’s voice, and gave her a tired smile, “ Mahalo, Ku`u Lei.” He pushed himself up, and swung his legs over so he was sitting properly on the couch.
“That looks delicious! Did you make it yourself?“ He asked, as he reached out for it, “…I didn’t keep you up, did I?“
"Of course not!" She said, "I have to see the birthday boy enjoy his cake and make a wish!"

Kai flopped over the couch with a deep sigh. Despite it being his 22nd Birthday, he was too exhausted to do anything.
He still had school to go to today, and then, despite his Dad telling him to take the day off, he still worked at the castle afterwards. At least now he was home.
