SERIOUSLY THO I thought that animal's backstory was so sweet,,, weeping AND sobbing over it !!!

man, seeing all the love and appreciation private jam session is getting and how much it’s thriving in the fandom is really awesome and heartwarming. back in the day (2009), it was mostly just @animatedc9000 and me and our fics, not much else in terms of content. sadly, the site we were on wasn’t exactly the most progressive place at the time (and that’s putting it lightly). there was a lot of ‘you can’t make zoot and lips kiss! that’s inappropriate! edit that scene or the whole fic is being deleted.’ and ‘they’re just friends. you guys are reading too much into it.’ 

they wouldn’t even let me write lips kiss zoot on the cheek at the end of ‘roads’, it had to be a hug. ya know, just two buddies being pals.

ehhh…

eventually, we found a friend and fellow mayhead in @iamallybee who wrote the classic that is ‘getaway’ with ani and that’s when private jam session really began to take off. i honestly never imagined how much amazing art/writing/content for them would exist now, it’s incredible and shows how much things have evolved more than a decade later. what else can i say? rock on, folks. ;-;

My tumblr is pretty dead but since I was tagged, I feel obligated to reply to this!

God, seeing Muppets Mayhem take off like this (which I have been obsessing over on Twitter recently) has bore a newfound appreciation for my favourite Merry Band of Muppets who are otherwise usually stuck in the background with the odd line or two. Zoot and Lips especially.

But now, with the show expanding their characters and reaching to a wider audience, there is a lot more appreciation of this ship since over a decade ago and I could not be happier! Hell, it shows with the new comments and likes I get from Getaway which I co-wrote with @animatedc9000 back in 2016!

So yeah, thank you so much guys! I can’t wait to see more PJS!

If I had a nickel for every time Dave Goelz puppeteered a character who at some point brandished a camara, I’d have two nickels.

Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.

Fun fact: Gonzo’s line was Dave Goelz’s idea, but he said it thinking they’d never put it in the movie. From this article:
