wander 3 (Jimin)

Genre: Angst

Summary: the more distant he gets, the more his eyes start to wander

a/n: I tried to update this as quickly as possible before I started my school week so hopefully you guys enjoy reading this chapter, I will try to update later this week!

“You cheated on me?” You asked as you felt your face heat up, you looked at his face as you could see him freaking out. Jimin didn’t realize that you weren’t referring to his affair…

“I’m sorry y/n, I didn’t mean to cheat, it just happened.” Jimin explained as you scoffed. “It just happened? How the fuck does that even work?” You shouted as Jimin looked down. “Look if I could go back I would have never cheated on you,” Jimin replied, he didn’t know what to say, he knew he fucked up and there was no going back from his actions. “Look y/n, I promise I will never do it again, please I don’t want to lose you.” Jimin cried as you looked at his face, you wanted to forgive him but you were so angry you didn’t want to see his face anymore. “Just get out!” You yelled as you ran to your bedroom and slammed the door.

It had been a couple days since you found out Jimin had cheated on you, you would barely leave your house, let alone your bed. You had multiple texts from Jimin and many miss calls from him, you didn’t want to speak to him, you hated him. You heard a knock on your door, “y/n? It’s me, Jin.” Jin called out before he opened your door, he smiled softly to you as he sat next to you. “Hey…I heard what happened, are you okay?” Jin asked as you shook your head and started to cry again, “I can’t believe he cheated on me,” you cried as Jin hugged you. “I’m going to kill him,” Jin growled as he rubbed your back, he looked at your eyes and gave you a soft smile as he used his thumb to wipe away the tears. 

“You need to get out of this room,” Jin said as he looked around your messy room, “look I know you’re not up to party or anything, but Namjoon is having some friends over tonight and I think it would be good for you to see our friends.” Jin suggested as you groaned and shook your head, the last thing you wanted to do was to see the boys, you didn’t want to be reminded of what Jimin did. “I don’t know Jin, I don’t really want to see our friends tonight.” You said as you covered your face with your blanket, Jin laughed as he grabbed the blanket down to reveal your face, “get changed you’re going.” He said as he got off of your bed and started to clean up your room a bit. You rolled your eyes as you went to go get ready.

Jimin had been staying with her since you found out about him cheating, it wasn’t his first choice of course, but she was the only person who would let him crash since everyone was upset at him. Truthfully, Jimin was uninvited from Namjoon’s get together and he was upset that his friends chose you over him. He understood what he did was shitty but he didn’t think all of his friends would choose you over him, he thought they would call him stupid but they wouldn’t stop talking to him. He was angry and he knew that he would not be the one leaving the group.

You and Jin walked into Namjoon’s house and there was a lot more people than you expected, you thought it would just be the boys tonight but it seemed like a full house. Namjoon widened his eyes when he saw you walk in, “y/n! I didn’t think I would see you tonight!” Namjoon smiled as you hugged you, “how are you feeling?” He whispered into your ears as you gave him a soft smile, “I’m feeling a little better,” you replied as Namjoon turned his attention to Jin. “Can you go get y/n a drink?” He asked as Jin nodded and headed to the snack table, Namjoon looked back at you and smiled. “Sorry, it was suppose to be a small gathering but then someone found out and spread the word about it so a lot of people started showing up.” Namjoon laughed as you chuckled back. “Anyways, the boys are downstairs if you wanna go down there and chill with them, or feel free to mingle.” Namjoon grinned as you nodded and headed towards the snack table to find Jin.

Jimin walked into the party holding hands with her, as he saw the stares he was getting from the room. Most of the people were confused and were all whispering, and then Namjoon saw him and her together. “What the fuck are you doing here?” Namjoon yelled as Jimin shrugged, “I just wanted to show my new girl off,” Jimin smiled as he put his arms around her, “she’s hot isn’t she?” Jimin asked as Namjoon clenched his fists, “you are super fucked up.” Namjoon replied before leaving the two alone. Jimin took her to the corner as they started to make out, he secretly wanted everyone to see him with her but at the same time he felt horrible. He didn’t know why he couldn’t just admit that he was a horrible person for cheating and beg for forgiveness but he just needed a night to feel better about himself.

You were walking around the party and just mingling with a couple people that you knew, you didn’t want to be a bummer at the party, especially since your friends wanted to distract you from what happened. You felt a lot happier, you even thought about how you and Jimin could grow from this and you almost felt ready to forgive him. You knew that you probably shouldn’t, but you spent so much time with him you couldn’t imagine a life without him. You grabbed out your phone and started to text Jimin. 

(11:49 PM) y/n: Hey, I’m ready to talk about our relationship if you are, should we get coffee tomorrow?

You turned off your phone and headed to the washroom, you weren’t feeling so good so you thought you would just chill in the bathroom for a couple minutes. You saw that the door was slightly opened so you assumed that nobody was in there, once opening the door your eyes widened. You saw Jimin kissing some girl on the counter, you couldn’t believe your eyes but what made it even worst was when the girl looked over to you.

“Izzy?”

“I think he’s cheating on me…”

“WHAT?!!!” Izzy screamed, catching the attention of everyone in the cafe. You felt your cheeks heat up as you could feel everyone staring at you. “Izzy shush!” you cried as she tried to contain herself. “Sorry y/n, I didn’t mean to make a scene but how could he do that to you? Do you have proof?” She asked as you shook your head, you felt for accusing Jimin without any evidence of him cheating on you but inside you knew something was wrong. “I don’t have proof but he told me he went out to lunch with some new girl at his work place and he didn’t come home after his lunch with her, I think he might be seeing her.” You explained as Izzy clenched her fists. “What an asshole, how dare he play you like that.” She growled as she grabbed your hands. “You need to leave him.” 

You knew that the best thing to do was to break up with Jimin, but you didn’t want to leave him, you loved him too much. You felt stupid, how could you let yourself endure so much pain for a boy, but somehow you knew that Jimin was worth all the pain. You wanted to fight for his love.

Jimin awoke to an empty bed, he shrugged knowing that she had probably had to leave for work. Jimin sighed before he looked at his phone screen, he was expecting multiple missed calls and texts from you, but when he opened his phone he saw no messages or calls. He felt a little upset that you weren’t concerned that he was out all night, Jimin felt bad about all the cheating but he just wanted a break. He knew it was wrong to mess around with other girls especially since he loved you, but he wanted to experiment with other girls before he settled down with you. The fucked up thing about this whole affair is that Jimin wanted to spend the rest of his life with you, he just wanted to have his last few girls before he committed to you forever. The boys scolded him and told him that it wasn’t right, and he knew that, he just didn’t know how to stop. 

(12:03) Namjoon: Yo, when are you coming? 

Jimin looked at his phone and rolled his eyes, he forgot about the whole game night that Namjoon had been planning for months.

(12:04) Jimin: Isn’t it at five? Why do you need me to come now?

(12:05) Namjoon: EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PERFECT >:(((

Jimin laughed as he grabbed his coat and headed out.

You headed over to Namjoon’s house to help with setting up, you had brought some snacks with you and some of your boardgames, you knocked on his door as he opened and smiled and hugged you. “y/n! I haven’t seen you in so long, how have you been?” Namjoon asks as he helps you grab the snacks and games into the house, you softly smiled “everything has been great!” You lied as you thought about your suspected cheating partner. “Where’s Jimin?” You asked as you looked around to see everyone but Jimin. “Jimin isn’t here yet, probably still on his way.” Namjoon replied, setting down your stuff on the table with the rest of the games. “What? I thought he slept over…” You said as everyone looked at you confused, Namjoon’s smile dropped as he shook his head. You felt your heart drop to your stomach, a little part of you knew that he was cheating and now it really felt like it was true. “Oh, I’m so sorry I forgot, Jimin went to go sleepover at another friends place.” You lied as everyone softly chuckled. Suddenly, you heard the door open and Jimin walked in, his hair was messy and he looked like he was hungover. “What took you so long?” Namjoon scolded, “you look like shit, go clean yourself up” Namjoon yelled as Jimin shrugged and headed to the bathroom, not even acknowledging you. “I don’t know how you live with him.” Namjoon laughed as you dry chuckled back.

Jimin went to the washroom and cleaned his face with some cold water, he brushed his teeth and used his fingers to comb through the messy hair. While he was finishing up, Jin walked in, “where did you go last night?” Jin asked as Jimin looked confused. “I was with y/n? At my home?” Jimin responded as Jin hit him on the arm. “Are you lying? y/n thought you were sleeping over here, what the fuck is going on with you?” Jin asked he was angry at Jimin for lying to you, he knew that if something was going on he would want to know. Jin had always thought of you as a little sister so he was always protective of you, he introduced you to Jimin and was a little worried of you two dating since he knew about Jimin and his flirtatious past. “I just want you to know that if you hurt y/n, I will hurt you.” Jin threatened as he walked away.

It was a couple games later and you and Jimin had no spoken to each other, you didn’t want to confront him yet, you wanted to be sure. You wanted to speak to him badly, but you feared being right so you decided to ignore him. Jin noticed that you were being super quiet, which was not like you, you were usually super talkative during game night. The tension was high and nobody wanted to address it, Jin wanted to ask you privately but he was scared of making you angry so he decided to keep quiet.

Jimin and the other boys had left and you decided to stay behind to help Namjoon clean up, you were picking up the cans as Namjoon was putting the games back onto his shelf. “Hey, are you alright? You were so quiet tonight.” Namjoon asked, giving you a concerned look, you faked a smile as you shook your head. “Yeah, everything is alright, just a lot on my mind.” You replied, you couldn’t tell Namjoon, you didn’t want to ruin what Jimin and Namjoon had and you knew that Namjoon would isolate Jimin from the group if he knew that he was cheating on you. Namjoon didn’t believe you when you said it but he knew it wasn’t best to push things, he just smiled softly back. “Okay, but just let me know if something is going on, okay?” You nodded in response.

You got home, and set your bag onto the couch, Jimin was watching TV. “Where did you go after game night?” Jimin asked, it was the first time you heard his voice in a while. “I helped Namjoon clean up,” you replied as you took off your shoes and headed to sit next to him on the couch, leaving a cushion space between the two of you. “You know you don’t have to do that for my friends.” Jimin replied, you felt hurt that he thought that the boys weren’t your friends too. “I was helping Namjoon, because he is my friend,” you answered sharply, causing Jimin to widen his eyes, he was not used to hearing this tone from you. “Maybe, you’re only helping Namjoon because you have some other intentions to be alone with him.” Jimin accused, you could feel the jealousy in his voice, you were shocked that he would even accuse you of being unfaithful when he was the one disappearing to sleep over at unknown places and ignoring all of your texts. Jimin couldn’t help but feel a little bit angry, even though he knew he didn’t have any right to be, he didn’t like the thought of you being with anyone but him. 

“I can’t believe you are accusing me right now when you are the one sneaking off!” You cried as Jimin’s eyes open wide, he hadn’t realized you knew.  “It was only one time! She didn’t mean anything to me!” Jimin confessed, as you felt your heart drop, you didn’t actually think he was cheating on you and now he told you and you didn’t know what to do. 

“You cheated on me?” You asked as you felt your face heat up, you looked at his face as you could see him freaking out. Jimin didn’t realize that you weren’t referring to his affair…

it had been three days since you had last texted Jimin, every text seemed to get more generic. It had been a rough three months for the two of you, the once warm and bubbly Jimin was now a cold and distant Jimin who wouldn’t look at you for more than three seconds. It had all started when he had came back from visiting his parents, he had only been gone for a week but when he came back it had almost felt like he had left for years and had forgot about you. You didn’t want to end this relationship, but the more and more he ignored you the more you thought that it would be impossible to fix whatever you two had left. 

“Jimin?” You waved, trying to get the attention of the day dreaming boy, he snapped out of his thoughts to look at you blankly. “Yes?” He answered dryly, you sighed as you repeated your question once more. “I was just asking where you wanted to go for lunch later.” Jimin widened his eyes, that was the most emotion his face has given you in awhile. “I can’t go for lunch…” He coldly replied, you looked at him confused, Jimin and you always book a day off during the week to get lunch together. It was to make sure that he could make time for you, no matter how busy it would get. “What do you mean you can’t? We always go out for lunch on Wednesday. It’s always been that way.” You reply, Jimin shrugs as he glances at his phone and starts to type, “things change, and I already made plans today.” He replies, keeping his eyes on his phone the whole time. You felt your heart break a little, he has never blown you off like this. Jimin always made time for you, even when he was super busy. “What is making you so busy that you can’t have lunch with your own girlfriend?” You asked, glaring at him, you couldn’t help but feel tears rushing to your eyes. “I’m meeting up with the new girl, it’s a work thing, you wouldn’t understand.” He answers, as he glances at you for a moment before returning to his phone and getting up. “I gotta go.” He says as he heads for the door. You were shocked that he was blowing you off to go meet another girl. You were never the jealous type, or at least you thought you weren’t, Jimin never gave you a reason to feel insecure, he had always made time and cherished you before. But now, you could feel that anger forming inside of you.

Jimin headed towards the cafe where he saw Anna, he smile brightly at her as he waved his hand to catch her attention. Anna looked up and smiled as she got up from her seat to greet him, “what took you so long? I’ve been waiting for five minutes,” she laughs as Jimin chuckles back, “sorry, I had some troubles with my friend and he needed help so I had to help him.” He lied. Anna sits back down and opens the menu, “I’m just going to order something light, I’m trying to lose weight.” Anna smiles softly, hoping for a compliment about how skinny she looked. “Order whatever you want, you look so skinny you should eat more.” Jimin replied.

It had been over three hours since Jimin was out with his coworker for a lunch that should have ended two hours ago, you were starting to get worried, you texted him multiple times but no response. You thought that he might have went out with the guys for dinner, you knew it was bad to keep bothering him since it could make it worst for you and him. You decided to just calm down a bit, Jimin would have to come home eventually, and then you two could discuss how you have been feeling recently and all of this could be fixed. 

It was around two am and you were still awake, the side next to you on the bed was empty, Jimin had not come home yet. You looked at your phone, hoping there was a text explaining where he was, him reassuring you that he was safe and just sleeping over at Namjoon’s house because he got too drunk and didn’t want to bother you by making you pick him up. No reply.

Jimin was now reading the many texts you had sent him while he was out with Anna, he rolled his eyes, he was annoyed with how you couldn’t just leave him alone. He started to type a message back to you, he stopped typing once he heard the shifting of the bed. “Babe, are you going to go to sleep? It’s late.” the voiced called out, “I will in a sec,” Jimin replied as he placed his phone down and returned to bed.

You woke up to an empty bed, Jimin didn’t come home last night. You opened your phone hoping that he had texted you back letting you know where he had crashed for the night. No response. He did read them though, you groaned loudly, you wanted to get out of the house for once and just get your mind off of Jimin, you thought you might just message your friend.

(Y/n) 9:00 : Hey Izzy, I need to get out of the house today to get my mind off of things, you wanna meet up for coffee?

(Izzy) 9:03 : yes girl! Let’s meet up at the coffee place we always go to downtown, around 9:30? 

You smiled while you read her response, Izzy was always there for you no matter what, she had been your friend since you two were little and you guys have never been apart since. You rubbed your eyes as you tried to get out of bed, you looked at the clock and realized that you needed to get ready quickly if you wanted to make it to the coffee shop by 9:30. You did a simple make up look, covering your eye bags from your restless sleep. You put on a hoodie and headed out, you were never really into dressing up, ever since you dated Jimin the outfits got more and more comfortable. Jimin never had a problem with that though, he loved how natural you were and how you were always ready before him.

You sat patiently while you waited for Izzy to arrive at the coffee shop, Izzy had always been the extra friend, she was the literal opposite of you. Every occasion she always made a dramatic entrance and she always overdressed for every occasion. Izzy was always the centre of attention and she made sure she was, you envied her, although you were never someone who looked for attention. You preferred to enjoy parties at the corners and just observe everything going on. Izzy walked in and smiled at you while she waved at you, she was wearing a beautiful coral dress that fit her body perfectly, she had also just recently come back from a very expensive vacation at Italy. You were so jealous that she was able to travel all the time. “Hey y/n! It’s been too long, how have you been?” She grinned as you tried to fake a smile but inside you wanted to burst out in tears and let her know what was really going on. “Not good…Jimin and I are going through something right now” you replied looking down, you didn’t want to look her in the eyes since you were so close to bursting into tears. Her smile dropped, she widened her eyes as she gasped “oh my, y/n, I thought you two were doing so well” Izzy reaches over to grab your hand and rub it. “I thought so too, but ever since he came back from his trip he’s been acting so distant.” You sobbed as you tried to control yourself, you didn’t want the people around you to stare.
