Introverted Intuition (Ni): Itachi is the epitome of forward thinking. He planned every single detail of his life in order to protect Sasuke and Konoha: the massacre, pretending he was a killer so that his brother would hate him instead of the village, cornering him so that Orochimaru’s curse mark would come out, implanting Amaterasu on him so that Madara wouldn’t come close to him, giving Shisui’s eye and power to Naruto to force Sasuke to come back to the village. Mysterious, silent, stoic, he has an uncanny ability to see the truth and the underlying patterns of every situation, and he is the best strategist, always more than one step ahead of the enemy.

Extroverted Feeling (Fe): Itachi easily reads people. He is highly empathic and he is able to use it this to manipulate people. He is the only Uchiha who doesn’t value the clan over Konoha. To him the greater good, peace, is more important. He knows that a coup d'etat would make the village vulnerable to external attacks and he accepts to carry on the elder’s order to eliminate his family. His only weakness, as Danzo points out, was his brother Sasuke, the only one he couldn’t kill, and whom he will silently protect through his entire life. Always polite, appropriate and respectful of authority and old age, Itachi talks in flourished and refined riddles. His fighting style is almost mystical, with illusions and manipulations that play on his enemy’s emotions.

Introverted Thinking (Ti): Since his childhood Itachi wanted to understand the world and its workings. It is said that at 7 he was already able to reason like an adult. His plans are elaborate and convoluted and he has a hard time talking about them even to Sasuke in the end. His logic is subjective and subordinated to his strong ideals. This enables him to make extreme choices such as the massacre, joining Akatsuki, be the object of his brother’s hate, plan to use a brainwashing-like power like Kotoamatsukami in order to make him come back to Konoha,because every single thing he does is for peace and for Sasuke.

Extroverted Sensing (Se): Itachi is very observant in battle and he is good at improvising when the situation requires it. He is skilled at close combat even if it’s not his first choice. Like Sasuke he doesn’t have a great sense of his body, pushing it to its limits and ignoring his illness just to wait for Sasuke to kill him and have his long awaited revenge. He is a perfect shinobi so he is very disciplined, but he acted impulsively only once, when he was accused of Shisui’s death. In that occasion he beat up members of the police, insulting the clan’s lack of foresight. It is said that he likes visiting traditional cafés where he drinks tea and eats sweets.
