random tiny hc time:

betsy is a H U G E tolkien nerd.  she can quote the movies, has read all the books ( silm, lost tales, fall of beleriand, etc ) and can rant like a pro about the movies.  ESPECIALLY the hobbit movies.  she takes some serious umbrage with them.

I asked Betsy to strike a pose for me, and then after I took this picture I literally cried for fifteen minutes straight. I’m so blessed to be alive, oh my god.
@psylccke is a pinnacle of beauty and grace and ana took like four photos of her, ngl.
Okay so… Betsy was at the same pool Jan was at, and I- I didn’t WANT to have to spend my entire night crying, but she looked at me when I picked my camera up and I WEPT for thirty entire minutes this time. I had to go buy an entire honey bun to stop crying… but it was totally worth it, look at her.
@psylccke is, STILL the reigning champion of Ana’s heart.

Turns out the buttefly that Jan was posing with was one of Betsy’s, so… I mean, I could write the caption out, but the punchline is this: I’m dead. I’m actually dead, and its my ghost posting these pictures. Sorry.

Psylocke could get Ana to sell her soul with a wink and a smile.

As the wrongfully young looking mutant approached, the opening topic at hand brought something of a smile to sternly lined lips. “I see I’m held in the same high regard as the last time we spoke.” X couldn’t help but chuckle a little in a light hearted manner. He meant nothing by it, all too aware that his return, while half expected in the long run – - was rather different than many might have come to expect. The Professor included.
He was, however, grateful that she had been true to her word, keeping an eye on the man he’d become, on the strange and new characteristics that gripped every beat of an unfamiliar heart. He was nothing more than a poor copy of the late Charles Xavier, scattered pieces strung together to create the young eyed telepath with a new sense of determination in his mulish step. “I had to be sure that what remained of the Shadow King’s presence was indeed gone.” He admitted idly, bringing up a hand to tap at the side of his head. “By this point, my friend – - I trust your judgement more than I do my own.”
It was then that a real sense of seriousness seemed to wash over X’s pallid complexion, gripping the few familiar lines and curves of an old expression. “I have come to learn a great deal about what has gone on in my absence.” He admitted, letting stern brows begin to furrow tightly in the middle. “I – - have my concerns.“

her expression softened for a fleeting moment -- blink and you’d miss it -- before the more stoic mask settled into place upon her features.  while he might be able to navigate beyond the mental blockades in her mind, it was best to keep a game face when confronted with someone or something that was ( relatively ) unknown.

he has a way of worming his way into the forgotten crevices and festering, doesn’t he?  I do not relish any of the time he has spent within the confines of my psyche, I can only begin to imagine the putrid slime he has left there for you to clean up, not to mention whatever mess jean-philippe’s mind might have been when he gave himself up.  there was a temptation to snoop; to look for traces of the shadow king or to see how X had set up his own residency within the borrowed mind.  that would be rude and far too intrusive.

at the mention of concerns, a dark brow arched and she made herself more comfortable at his side.   oh?  care to share or are these the ilk that will be played close to the vest with nigh catastrophic results towards the end?
