Blog of Randomness!

@brieflybigwonderland-blog

Okay so I am completely new to the Tumblr scene so I have never had a blog before. Not entirely sure what will be on this page yet. A few mumblings from me, reblogs of things that I have enjoyed on other pages, and some quotes to help brighten up people's day!

Does Love Really Conquer All? - Part 1

Note: So this is my first shot at a Bucky Barnes x Reader fic. This idea crossed my mind and so I had to roll with it in the hope that people enjoy it. It will be a series but I don’t know how long it will be just yet. I’m just seeing where my writing takes me :)

‘Moonlight Serenade’ filled the room you were currently stood in, drowning out the noise of any chatter that was going on around you, as you rested your head onto the chest of the man you were dancing with. The strong scent of his cologne constantly filled your nose, sending a pleasant shiver through your whole body as it did, you were so glad he had worn it tonight because it helped to make you feel more at ease given what tonight was actually for.

All the men in this room were leaving to go to war tomorrow. A war that, in your eyes, shouldn’t have been concerning your country or its men….but perhaps that was simply your emotions getting the better of you. The man you loved with all your heart was about to be used as cannon fodder so all you wanted was to keep him as close as you could.

As the terrifying thoughts began to fabricate themselves inside your mind once more your hands tensed. He felt the newly applied pressure to both his hand and his back where your own hands were resting and immediately he slowed your moves down to a point where you almost stopped completely and removed the hand that was around your waist so that he could cradle your chin instead, tilting your head up so that your [e/c] eyes connected with his sharp blue ones.

Unanswered Questions - Chapter 1

Note: So this is something that just popped into my head. It’s a small idea that I am working on but I hope to build it up the further I get with it.

“Peter it…it was an acci-“

With a simple wave of his hand I found my lips sealing shut as though someone had just placed some invisible tape over them, stopping me from uttering another word, the two Lost Boys at either side of me gripped the tops of my arms so tight that I winced at the pain it caused. When my eyes looked away from the and caught sight of the angry expression on Pan’s face my heart began to pound violently against my chest. At any moment I swore it would just burst right out of my rib cage.

“I don’t want to hear it. Accident or not it still happened. You are no longer welcome here.”

I had been on this island for what felt like years now and not once had I heard such a coldness to his voice. Yes I’d had my fights with the boy, both of us exchanging rather vile comments with one another, but this was something else entirely. He had shown passion in those exchanges, he loved the anger it brought out of me, but now there was nothing. There was no sign of that usual fire burning away in those green eyes of his, no playful smirk tugging up at the corner of his lips as he thought up his next remark. None of it.

That was when the realisation of just how much trouble I was in hit me and my heart sank to the bottom of my stomach. Was he going to banish me? Or, even worse, kill me? I was no stranger to how violent Pan could be and the fact that some of the Lost Boys had mysteriously disappeared only added to the darkness that seemed to radiate from him.

“Boys. You know what you need to do.”

With one last intense gaze, one that seemed to burn right into my soul, Peter turned his back on me as he made his way back into the dense jungle of the island. The next thing I felt was a searing pain in the back of my head as darkness consumed me.

Your body is cold…..so very cold. You don’t know how you ended up in a vast ocean of water, or how long you had been in it, all you know is that you couldn’t swim any more. There had been no sign of land when you had first found yourself in the water and after swimming for however long you had been there was still nothing around you. Nothing but deep, dark, water. Every muscle in your body is aching beyond belief from the constant shaking as the cold temperature begins to affect you down to your very core.

This is it. This is how you were going to die. It’s a depressing thought but it is the only one that seems to be so very clear in your exhausted mind.

As your eyes begin to lose the fight to stay open and your face sinks beneath the gentle waves of the ocean you feel something wrapping itself around your wet hair, gripping it tight, before pulling you up and out of the water you’d been convinced was going to be your grave.

“Got her Cap’n!”

The deep, harsh, voice that now fills your ears is unrecognisable but you simply don’t care. All that matters now is that you are going to live another day. The hand that had pulled you out of the water now places you onto a hard surface and it is only now, as your eyes slowly fought to open a little, that you can make out several figures standing over you. Your vision isn’t as sharp as it would usually be though so there are no details on them that you can pick out….aside from one.

There is some fantastic writing on this blog and this is the first chapter of one of my favorite series on it <3
