Welcome to Australia...
Where an already endangered species is on the brink of functional extinction...
Oh, and 500 million animals unique to this country have already lost their lives, upon homes that have been destoryed and lives lost of people as well...
I mean... we're only living in a literal inferno...
415 fires. Fuck are we dying...
Oh yeah and people are just fleeing to the damn ocean, you know?
Do you want to know what Hell on Earth looks like..?
Because there it is in all it's unfiltered, firey rage...
There it is... my home from space...
This is only the beginning. Our country has not only entered a new decade, it seems a new dawning era as well, because this flaming apocalypse doesn't show any sign of stopping any time soon.
And you know what saddens me? I've never seen Australian tragedies trending here on this website. I mean it's been going on for months and only now does it seem to really be getting recognized, even if it is only at #9.
And I'm going to be honest with you here - the internet, and media in general is so American centric, this website being no exception. You'd think that an entire continent being on fire for several months with devastating consequences would have more recognition, but no, it really doesn't. The most notes I've ever seen on a post about the Australian fires is at least a few thousand, and that's about it.
So just... please. If you can, with this post or any other post in regards to the fires going on down here, reblog. Because the only thing that should be spreading like wildfire, is a post about a burning country...
I’ve been feeling this way for months. My country is literally on fire and no one but New Zealand and Canada seem to care.
Not even our Prime Minister cares.
Tens of thousands of people have fled their homes, with many of them losing them altogether. Homes have been destroyed, thousands of people are stranded or in limbo and at least nine people have died.
Sydney University have estimated more than 480 million animals have died in Australia since September, as a result of the bushfires.
If you’d like to help, here’s how you can do it:
HELP THE FIREFIGHTERS
Donations to the NSW Rural Fire Service directly benefit the volunteer firefighters on the frontline. To help you can donate here.
You can also donate to the young families of Geoffrey Keaton and Andrew O’Dwyer, who were killed during the Green Wattle Creek fire, and Samuel McPaul, who was killed at the Green Valley fireground, here.
HELP THE WILDLIFE
WIRES
To help the NSW wildlife victims, you can donate to the NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service (WIRES) here.
Port Macquarie Koala Hospital
More than 2000 koalas are feared to have perished in NSW since September.
The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital have raised more than $2 million for the wildlife affected in that area, with the initial aim of using the money to distribute automatic drinking stations in the burnt areas to help in koala and wildlife survival.
The organisation are now sharing the funds with other wildlife organisations in the fire affected regions across NSW. You can donate here.
HELP THOSE AFFECTED
There are multiple organisations helping those who have been affected. Most of these people have lost everything, including their homes, and donations would help to rebuild their lives with food, clothing, furniture, other essentials, and funds to pay bills.
Here are a few places you can donate:
All of those sites have great information on how your donations can help the people in need.

Hi everyone, this time it’s unrelated to our project, but it’s related to humanity.
The situation is serious, and awareness must be spread. Please take your time to read the original post and Aeriie’s as well. If you can, help. If you can’t, please share and let more people know of this tragedy.
This is a serious issue, and it breaks my heart that this is happening and know one is reporting it. The best way to help is through spreading awareness, and if the adults won’t help than its up to the teens and millennial's to spread the word So please share this information with the people you love, and encourage them to help in any way they can.
